To be fair, barcodes, blue [oops], swans and arse away fixtures are always tough. Not many teams go away from their grounds undefeated. IMO, we did relatively well to get 3 draws and 1 loss from these 4 games. The only thing is that it would have been a lot better to get 3 points from one of those games. thing is we smashed 6 past Newcastle less than 6 months ago and they got beat by arguably the worst team in the league Sunderland at the time a week later, Swansea should of been there for the taking but we ended up losing the lead then hanging on, Arsenal and Everton are tough tho. Newcastle also beat Chelsea and United. Does that mean Chelsea is going down?

We should have won against Newcastle who had only 10 men over the better part of the game

Interesting thing is, that after this weekend, we could be just 2 points off Arsenal at the top, despite everyone going on about how unbelievable they've been this season.
This is the closest prem race I can remember

We could end up anywhere between eighth and first come the end of the season It's like we're actually watching a competitive sport again.

If we are still in the top 4 or even top 5 after the first half of the season, we would still have a good chance of finishing in the top 4. We would have played all our toughest games, ie, Arsenal, Chelsea, City, Spurs, Everton away though we will still need good results against those team at home. Last year we managed to beat only Spurs and so far this year it hasn't been much better against the top teams (United is not right now), we'll find out soon.

to be honest I dont really think you can give too much credit for the manager for a response against West Ham, West Ham at home was always the perfect type of game to play after a defeat like that, they are woeful away and they dont even have a centre forward to call on with Carroll still not fit. I am pleased with the position we hold in the table at present but come on, it's more to do with the easy fixture list we were handed in the first half of the league season not to mention the bigger Clubs still in massive transition with brand new managers or in Spurs case trying to bed in about 8 first team players, I fully expect the league to settle down by February and the cream of the big boys rising towards the top, 6th to 8th place for us this season in my opinion, gotta go all out to win the F.A.Cup for me. probably good that we played Norwich first too isn't it...
