grow up ceb - i have always and always will call for the kids to be given a chance .... win, lose or draw they should get a chance to show what they can do

ceb there is no need for a petty argument alot of people on here have been calling for the young lads to get a run out since last season and before.

i.e. carling cup/dead rubber games.

not trying to start a petty argument wak. the point you make is what im saying. there as been no dead rubber games. all must wins so calling for the young lads and saying they should be given there chance would not be right in my opinion .

fair point ceb,there is one game that will stick with me for a while about giving youngsters a chance,scum utd v aston villa last season,macheda was an unknown quantity and won them the game,sometimes throwing the kids in at the deep end works,its got to be worth a shot.

fair shout wak but he was only given chance due to injuries at that time. rafa as given insua , lucas and ngog a chance look what we think of them now. i know that dont mean they all will be same look at fowler and co that as come from the youths but for me there few and very far between nowadays

Ceb, all the youngsters you mentioned there are no longer kids and have been given a chance. I don't believe any of them have shown anything special so the point is players like Pacheco, Kelly, Dalle Valle, Ayala, Nemeth etc should have been given chances. Rafa is so scared of losing games he won't try these players and they are no longer youngsters at the age of 20-22! There are international players at that age group and these kids don't get given a chance in our first team when we are struggling for desire and passion. I'm sure that these kids would show a lot more desire and passion than some of the more senior players on the pitch at the moment.

I think the point is we should not need to be playing the youngsters anyway. We should have a squad that is capable of competing without them. The young players should be brought in towards the end of games that we have already got in the bag. Sad thing is that there have been so few of those games this season.

rafa has had plenty of chances to give kids a go at right back, and he had the chance to give a kid a run at centre back but went out and bought some useless greek instead at centre half and put mash at right back

we had voronin playing game after game earlier in the season as sub - a place that should have gone to pacheco
