i mean no disrespect to Hendo who has impressed me over the last 20 games with this drive, determination and stamina. but i think we can do better. we can always use Hendo in the game somewhere.
Frankly i dont think Hendo and Gerrard are our main issues in the squad right now. Lucas is the big one for me as he does not add anything going forward.
Toure can do a decent job as defensive Midfielder. He is a good passer, calm on the ball, loves doing a run now and again. Tackling is immense. and Luis Alberto who looks to have good technique and play making skills can replace Henderson whose skill set includes running and ... erm. And whats become of Joe Allen? Surely he has a use?

Neither does Sakho or Mignolet. Has it occured to you that Lucas might be doing precisely what Rodgers wants him to do, ie hold his position in front of the centre backs to give them extra cover if we get caught on the counter whilst our wingbacks/fullbacks are at the wrong end?

Is he doing that properly though? He was all over the park against Arsenal, though I think this was mainly because we played with 3 midfielders against 5 top midfielders. However, in a number of games he has not protected our defence sufficiently.
