Also when Messi was his age (now) he only played 17 league games. Barc look after him and didn't play him often

He didn't go hiding and kept on attacking playing against MEN twice his size.

Your absolutely right, Sterling is not a right midfielder never mind any sort of back. Good young talent and will be very good one day. Remember he's only 18, a lot of players don't break through until 21/22.

Oh and give my congrats to the groom wink

Pete: Berg, I'm just not cut out to be a good person.
Berg: I know. That's why the Lord gave us good looks.

He looked hungover as fuc.k the first half he came over gasping for drink about 30 mins in too...

He showed 'good' versatility at wing back but he is far less effective on the right. We should have kept downing if this formation was in BR's plans however could it be the position that we see the very best of glen johnson?

I do think the 3 at the back is promising, the option of 4 top quality in form cb's is very rare in any team. Mignolet is looking like a risk thats paying back generously too. We added 4 great first team players in the summer- Moses, Sahko, Toure, Mignolet. Aspas and Alberto aren't doing it for me either. We sent Sahin back who was free and then paid for Alberto, why?

Sahin wouldn't have been free if we wanted to keep him.

Messi started as a left winger and was moved up the pitch by pep. I don't blame sterling, he's young and hopefully will develop into a great playerBUT on current form he shouldn't be on the pitch.

He was not so bad against Palace but it seems to me that he's lost his dribbling ability that he showed good evidence of last year.

I watch Sterling a few weeks ago for the u21 where he was MOM even though Alberto got a hat-trick. Just feel he needs to be bedded in because of his still young and naive (off pitch stuff says a lot). His playing more safe now for some reason but can see that changing during the season.

+1 for me. He looked good until he got his contract and an England cap. He went to [oops] after that. And he needs to keep his nose clean off the pitch too.

I think it'll be a case of another talent wasted because of the rediculous amount if money he fats at such a young age. He's not been taught anything about life and respect. Robbie Fowler was still cleaning boots and picking up dirty kit after games at his age.

I didn't think raheem was too bad in the game against Palace, especially playing as a wingback. He still made his forward runs and got into useful positions. What has been noticable though is taht he no longer takes on players and dribbles. Whether this is because he has been so instructed or because he has lost confidence, i don't know, but he was a better player when he used his technical skills too. Pure pace is not enough, he needs to take on the defenders.
