Question to Red fans in England?

Is the Community Shield formerly known as the Charity Shield recognized as an official trophy by the English FA similar to super cup games in Italy, Germany, and Spain between league champions and FA cup winners?

The reason I am asking is that I had a debate with local Manure fan in my home country Jordan and they insist that the FA Community Shield is the English Super Cup!!! I told (stupid name)!!! I told it was not but they think I am ignorant when it comes to English Football despite living in England tears back and following Liverpool and English Footy since 1978.

Feedback is highly appreciated

Note: Most of these Manure fans are fans since Manure won their treble in 1999.

no, ive never seen anyone really celebrate winning the charity shield. its seen more as a pre season friendly by most people.

Agree, it's not counted in the record of trophies won.

That's why community shields have been shared on some occasions!

It's in the honours board but its a glorified friendly like many super cup games.
