We definitely need to sign a replacement in January, not necessarily to replace Gerrard, but to give him some rest so he doesn't play every game, and to give us some younger legs in midfield. I'd like us to go for Cabaye. Though would also like to see Hendo tried in that role Not being funny mate but there is no replacement for Gerrard. Besides, FSG have bought a replacement (in thier eyes)and his name is Joe Allen. FSG need to realise that what we need is not quantity but quality !! I bet Saurezncan't wait until the next transfer window.

Still makes me cringe. There's a lot of Championship players out there that we would get better value out of than Golden boy Allen.

I don't think SG is finished but he should concentrate on LFC and not England. As he's getting older he's not be able to play as many games. We are paying his contract and bloody good one at that, so he should concentrate more on LFC.

I don't think he would wish to miss his last WC (if England qualifies of course), he is the Captain mind you. He will retire after that.

At the end of the day, SG was once good enough to walk into any first team in the world including Barca and Real but being at our club has held him back. We owe him nothing. He'll probably go AWOL at the end of the season to keep his fitness for the WC which will probably cost us points but I wouldn't blame him. Them days have gone

Them days have gone I don't think he will 'rest' with LFC to be fit for England, yes he is going to tire by doing both and we will probably suffer more as there are more games with LFC, but, I cannot blame him for that. I am sure he will be giving his 100% for both even if he might end up being average for us, his body cannot take that much anymore. Up to LFC to have a plan, they knew the situation very well. Talking about LFC paying his wages is irrelevant as it happens with every palyer and it is I suppose a honour to play for your country.
