Hi its been 6 years since ive been to anfield but im making the long journey up tomorrow with my 6 year old son and his mate. They would both like to try to get an autograph or two so my question is where is the best place for me to take them to have a chance?

Any help much appreciated.

To be honest I think the best place to get one would be at Melwood but as you may already know they probably aren't there on match days. One of the other guys may be able to point you in the right direction so good luck with it hope your lad gets one or two.

Thanks for the reply. I dont know if its possible to see the players on the way into the stadium and if they stop to sign things. Or what time they might get there.

I cant say for sure but I think the players are straight in and out of the ground without stopping sadly. As I said hopefully one of the guys that are going to the game may be able to tell you a bit more so just keep popping in here to see the replies. Enjoy your day all the same though. It will be good if you can post back as to how your day went.

Will do. I cant remember ever seeing the players going in or anyone haning about to see them go in. But then again I was either in the pub or the chippy. Im sure it will be a good day and hopefully Liverpool will get a win for us. I think im nearly as exited as the lad, its been a while.

Chances of autographs are nil mate sadly .

You could be there when the team coach comes you won't get an autograph (but you never know) but might be more trouble than its worth with two young kids in a crowd.

Thanks for the replies everyone. My lad and his mate had a great day out despite the result. They were happy to be at their 1st match. My lad met mighty red, beat someone at FIFA in the funpark and enjoyed trying to sing along with songs and chanting "Liverpool, Liverpool".

Its great to get feed back from your day at Anfield, good to hear the kids enjoyed themselves, as you say just a shame about the result. Oh well there's always next time
