Pathetic state of affairs when a man who quite clearly is an impassioned supporter who happens to feel we are not progressing against everyone around us, gets an onslaught by those who struggle to see further than Anfield Road.

Faz, get a grip because you are one of the worst culprits. Re-read the thread there is absolutely nothing to say Flames is happy we are losing games. It comes across as someone who is sick and tired of seeing every step forward see two back and false dawn after false dawn.

If Rogers is having to put 4 centre backs in because we are that ridiculously short of playing staff someone is to blame either him or FSG. So which one is it? We were top of the league last week and now we have had a barely acceptable draw and a woeful defeat.

This is LFC and most fans still expect more than this drivel against a Southampton club with the resources of a banana republic.

We were also linked with Douglas who was available on a free, Lovren who went to Southampton (as we know) and wasn't there some kind of package to bring in Eriksen and Alderweireld for 15m, but instead we decided to waste a [oops] load of money on dross.

Bang on mate and what really get's on my 'mammaries' are these so called fans on here that defend FSG and Henry when it comes to their lack of INVESTMENT in the club. I don't know what's worse. Having an Billionaire owner who sits on his boat sipping G&T's all day while watching Rounders and not giving two sh1t's about the success of this club OR, having supporters that defend the owner and think that his conduct is to be applauded.

Feign progress that's a very good way of putting it.

Good post anfield however I would disagree slightly it was not optimism that made us great it was professionalism and the willingness to invest, Shankly in the 1960,s pressured the board to buy the best players.

Whilst I'm not a fan of FSG and think they are using us, our net spend is still one of the highest in the league and our overall spend is in the top 3. Brendan has had over £100m to sort the team out and he has squandered just about all the money just like he did at Swansea, the man can't be trusted in the transfer market, he is notoriously [oops] in this department.

It's Brendan's job to recruit the right players, how can you blame FSG for this. People couldn't wait to stick the boot in to Commoli and Kenny for their transfer record, so why no hate towards Rodgers for his abysmal record.

You say that people defending FSG pisses you off, well people blaming them for someone elses mistakes pisses me off.
