look guys...riera is actually very committed to us...seeing he plays for spain alongside torres, we need to keep him..we could bring in silva if we sell ngog or babel...their exit seems nearly certain..plus riera's made a statement that he'd sign a 5 year deal with liverpool eyes closed....

silva isn't a player i really like or a player that would be at the top of my wish list but he is a much more intelligent player than the ones we have he could link up with torres and gerrard well he maybe a bit lightweight he is also the most one footed player your ever likely to see also as a foot note barcelona are very interested in him for the left wing problem so if it comes to it i think there would only be one chose for him arda turan should be our top target

It was hardly an accident - it was an exact mirror of what he did at Valencia. Initially, he got Gerrard supporting Fernando Torres centrally, and Dirk Kuyt and Ryan Babel supporting the attack in wide areas. Exactly the same at Valencia with Mista, Vicente, Rufete, Pablo Aimar, John Carew and Miguel Angulo all filling these four attacking roles at various times.

The only reason he was played at right wing for so long was he was better than anything else we had there.

Torres injury has nothing to do with the way we play long ball or otherwise! If we played differently do you think he would do less running and get injured less? Its bull and you know it. All you are doing is picking fault with everything just because you don't like Rafa. Next you'll be saying he was responsible for Afganistan!

torres gets injured a lot due to the pace of the premiership. the defenders are a lot quicker here than in spain and therefore he pushes himself more which results in torn muscles.

I agree though that the long ball that we play (carragher to Torres) is not good!

I agree that the way we play is rubbish but I don't think it contributes to Torres getting injured. Like you say, its the pace of the Prem and the modern game in general that gets the players not a style of play.

and anyone who says torres injuries are coz of liverpool playing style, is talkin bullocks.....
