Only our second loss in 17 (?) League games and only the beginning of the second season under rodgers, building a top team takes time. We were missing four first team players today against the team in which our last league loss came against (a 3-1 schooling last season).

I think things need to be put into perspective, Southampton are not a bad side. haven't seen anything to suggest that Rodgers is incapable of building a top side, in fact he's building a pretty good one at the moment, it just couldn't be fielded today.

ah here. Southampton? come on, we have a squad well able to beat them, we also have a squad capable of beating swansea.

look we have been here before. the precipice of greatness. except we never cross that threshold do we. we pox it up and go back to the start. the pattern ha been repeating itself for far too long for me now.

No one really knows what will happen come next May. If today's form is going to be the norm more often than not, then its the same sickening old story and we're back in midtable. However' if today proves to be a hickup and we play like we did against Utd. more often than not, then top four becomes a distinct possibility.

Read all the posts about the game, but surprised that not much has focused on our continual fcking about at the back. Saints knew we were doing short balls and pressed high, forcing Migs to rush his kicks. The goal came from us fcking about at the back. Sometimes it just makes sense to boot the ball 50 yards! Other point, we were second to pretty much everything, can't remember us winning one header from a goal kick. Overall, probably the worst I've seen us play in a long long time. Hope it gives us a massive kick up the arse before we go to old toilet!

Though we were winning I was worried about our form or performance, Faz even said something like I was unhappy that we won, as always thinking that he is the greatest LFC fan. I don't think we have played well except 70 mins of the Stoke game, in fact, we were playing better in the second half of last season. I don't know why that is, players were about the same, except probably an younger Gerrard, and Aspas is worse than Downing and by far. I don't know if we will improve over last season's second half, honestly.

We had a shitt game. Sure. We were playing without our two best attacking players and without our starting fullbacks (and when enrique came on, he was shitt). This is still the best start we've had in years, and Suarez comes back on wednesday. Let's not act like the sky is falling. All the top teams have been defeated at this stage. Thinking that we would never lose a game, especially with the injuries sustained, is naive.
