rafa can be just as anti-football as jose.
rafa doing well now tho , got some great players there at napoli, but its about his level -seria A . crap league and he won't make it out of that group in the champs league. Funny, I expect him in the semi finals, or the quarter finals for sure!

they were not unknown now were they? masceranho was already a massive tranfer with tevez and alonso was near to joining real madrid.

Whatever anyone says about Rafa he gave us the best victory in the history of the club as far as I am concerned and our one real success since 1990.

I dont know, I'd rather watch barcelona play and lose, than watch England play and win. That's the best analogy I can think of. I obviously above all else want to watch Liverpool play and win as I am a liverpool supporter, but if we were talking as a fan of the sport in general, I think we'd all agree we'd prefer to watch a team that is exciting to watch. This is why I said, as long as my team wins trophies. Would you prefer LFC playing like Barca and lose or play like Chelsae and win?

I tend to agree with you anfield pigeon, but I must tell you, I hate Barcelona, i detest them and much preffered watching Mourinho's Real madrid to barcelona last year. Barca just pass and pass and pass until they put the opponent to sleep, very effective, but very dull viewing. It's great for one match, but watch them 3 weeks in a row and you'll see, it sucks.
Having said all that, I love Rafa Benitez!

Yeah I agree bud, he was a fantastic manager for us. I have supported him since wherever he has gone...although it was really hard whilst he was at Chelsea.

Oh f*** me here we go again. The small fact that is over looked time and again when that is mentioned is this........ It's not that Raffa thought Barry was better than Alonso that was the issue, it was that Barry was never signed and that one me ole china was down to the complete incompetence of those upstairs not Raffa. The account of the conversation he had with Parry went that Barry was the priority for that window and only force Keane on the manager IF Barry was signed to supply him with the right balls. Parry then went about making a pigs ear of the whole saga and cost us big time. It pretty much went down hill after that on all fronts.
