Don't know why our transfer committee thought that Eriksen was not worth signing. Overall, I don't think it was a good transfer window, the transfer committee could have done better with that same net spend.

Remember saying we would need Eriksson and others saying no. Let's see where we go from here, because I don't see an adequate replacement.

Never said that we were destined for the championship but I am saying we missed on a player who was worth his 12m. This is not even with hindsight, a lot of poeple here wanted us to buy him. Get a bloody grip on what you are saying.

Maybe we didn't go for Eriksson because we had Coutinho (not to mention £15 million on Allen). With Suarez back soon we will be okay. Coutinho probably needed a rest anyway.

Probably, but Eriksen would have been a good option in the midfield, not only as an attacking midfield. I don't think Suarez will play there unless you are talking about left wing where I think Moses will play now on. I've said it before, I feel our lack of depth if anything will cost us a top 4 finish this season, I hope to be wrong.

I can't even believe someone would suggest Allen, lol Allen can not play AM if his life depended on it. He's struggling to hold down his preferred position which is CM. Suarez is coming back but we expected him on the right. Hendo was basically filling a position until he comes back.

The point about Allen isn't just about his playing position but rather his asset realisation and that if he is no good he needs to move out before the funds are released for others. He was bought as the Welsh Xavi so obviously someone thought he could play in a more advanced role.
This Eriksson talk is just like the rubbish last year with Dempsey. Now that Coutinho is out he would have been an option but had he not got injured, he may not have fit in. He isn't our player so why don't we just move on and get over the what ifs.
The world hasn't ended and we still can field a full team. I'm sure Moses, Sturridge and Suarez can create and score goals. Maybe Gerrard moves more offensively.
