Is this a useless piece of gossip? Is there any point discussing it because of the financial state of the club. Or is there something we don't know?

We clearly need another striker and an attacking player who can fill in anywhere he is needed. With Jovanovic on the way is Silva the answer or is he too lightweight??

Personally would like us to take more chances with exciting attacking players, i mean they thought Modric was too lightweight for the premiership. Thoughts??

he's not too lightweight. he's a quality player and im sure he would do a great job in premier league.

the problem is i can't see it happen. but if we get new investment a lot can change...

There is an article on the Echo website about Riera falling down the pecking order which is quite interesting. Maybe a move back to Spain would benefit him - Riera plus cash for Silva???

The fact a player like Silva would consider LFC is because of Rafa so Rafa out means we'll have to settle for a little less in transfer quality. Please don't bring up silly small tranfers he's made or Keane (p***head) or Aqua still not proven.We're still in top ten money clubs cause of our amazing fanbase but also because we have been rewarded under Rafa for accomplishment in league and Europe. Also agree about Riera out of form largely due to injury but still a match winner. Take Silva over him though.

Yeh lets get rid of Rafa and get some other tosser in with a "5-year" plan to win the league whilst still paying of the yanks' mortgage !!!!!!!!!!! Lets just see how the finance / buyout thing goes with purslow, basically it'll come to a head with the yanks when the bank say enough is enough - SELL. I can't see it happening. It'll be another summer of will he won't he where he is concerned. We need a major injection of cash if we want players like him.

And what will happen with Aqua (who is cr@p ey emp?)? Why buy him and not try and Get Silva last summer for the £20m we paid for him? I'm sure that would have been enough with Valencia's financial problems.

You've got a point I suppose. About Rafa making them cr@p that is. Not seen enough of Silva to make a judgement or Aqua for that matter. Lets hope its not Rafa signing them then.

Silva would be a great buy................hes waaay too adventurous for rafa though
