While this is true, you can hardly blame them for making that decision. It was a time when we were at our lowest point for a very long time and morale was low. They were brand new to the sport so couldn't possibly know what was what. Appointing Dalglish wasn't at all a ridiculous move. After all, he already knew what Liverpool was all about, he was successful in his previous spell at Liverpool and he made Blackburn champions in the past. I'm sure even the magic 8 ball they probably used told them 'Probably' when they asked it if Kenny would bring success back to Anfield.

And KD brought stability and a team spirit to the club, the players rallied around him. He also took us to two finals and a trophy. Not such a huge mistake. Its a pitty he didnt do better in the league.

I disagree the team was in free fall in the last half of the season his press conferences were one embarrassment after another. Other than Henderson and Enrique all his signings have been moved on at a huge loss even Henderson we overpaid for. Yes we did well in the cups but the cups are a lottery Wigan won the FA cup last year but were relegated. It's the league table that matters.
