Agree with most of the expressed views. Position hasn't changed but impressed more and more with the gaffa. He should take all the credit for the improvements to the squad and most in regard the balance sheet.

Where that not the case we would have seen far more including a much bigger net transfer budget. And the three league wins this season are despite FSG not because of them

Hold on there! When everyone was screaming for Rafa or AvB or Ancelloti, who was it that brought in BR despite most fans, including myself, being against it at the time? FSG! They must get credit for bringing in a manager who has us in top spot on the league table at the moment. So any credit that BR gets, FSG deserve as well. To say it despite them and not because of them is ignorant and arrogant in my opinion and shows that no matter how well we do, some will never be happy, because all they wanna do is whine. God forbid they say we MIGHT have made a mistake, let alone "we were wrong".

Secondly, we all agreed that there handling of the Suarez saga would tell us a lot. How did they handle it? Like pure geniuses! They put him in his place, strengthened the clubs stand in the market massively, refused to be bullied in the market, and despite what anyone says, they did not cash in on players or make a profit in the window, they spent money!

I remember you saying they would pocket money and reinvest only a portion. Yet they have a positive net spend. We strengthened immensely and have improved our image in the market so much that I cannot even begin to explain it. Some credit goes to BR, some to the committee and some to FSG for putting both of those in place.

It's still early days, too early to judge how well these new boys will perform, but we are looking pretty ATM. FSG openly admits to making some mistakes, but they are learning quickly.

It wouldn't hurt some on here to "man up" a bit and say " we might have been mistaken, they did really really well this window" because when you take everything into consideration, the Suarez saga, the committee, standing firm on our valuations and the players we brought in, our squad now compared to last year and 2 years ago, FSG have done not well, but fantastically well!

Well, that's my opinion.

I used to hate them now I think they are ok Henry's tweet to Arsenal was superb and they did not cash in on Suarez.

Spending not high but we ain't in the champs league so can understand BR looking like he may just be a legend in the making although early days still but this has been an impressive overhaul getting rid of dross and what we have bought should not ending losing massive amounts if we need to move on.

I accept your point marko about them recruiting Rodgers if we recall they spent a long time and I happen to think they made the right decision. But prior to that they made very ill judged decisions that sent the club back years. And still no further on with the stadium issue.

The stadium is something I expect to hear something about in the very near future, last we heard was property aquasition was going well and on schedule. My worry is if these properties can't be purchased we could end up with court battles that drag on for years.

I think their prior decisions might have taken us back a year or two, but they openly admitted to making mistakes, however they have shown that they have learnt from those mistakes, and in my view, there is no debating we had a very very good transfer window and closed season overall. I think their biggest achievement has been reestablishing Liverpool Football club as a club that you cannot mess with in the transfer market, a club that has its valuations, sticks to them, and holds players to their contracts no matter how big a fit they throw. They showed who is boss at the club!

Yes I agree some progress there but they need to step up a gear by setting out the vision for the club I should not have to rely on you and jj for that

Happy that they like to run an efficient business while now showing more faith in the manager, essentially they will be mainly judged on how they manage the stadium issue, wouldn't surprise me if they got the stadium over the planning line and then sold it to a foreign investor while keeping control of the rest of the 'franchise'.

I've stopped being on the fence with FSG for some time now and they are good buisness people. I was not surprised at all from what I have seen in the last transfer window. Their aim is to run LFC as efficient as a proper managed business, they spent the 20m or so as i expected. Main objective is to be self sufficient and any trophy will be a bonus. For the transfer window, I am satisfied that we have filled our priorities but think we will miss a marquee mid-field player unles Joe Allen becomes the EPL Xavi as described by BR but not really seen yet.
