Has anyone's opinion of FSG changed for the better or worse? I think we've done good business in the window, even though we are short of that creative player we all wanted.

we tried to sign very high quality players (which is a very good sign) but we didn't manage to pull any of the deals off frown

our net spend was quite low in the end, but we did sign eight players.

I will reserve judgment on them until next summer, in this time they need to keep backing BR in the market so we can finish as high up the league as possible.
I also want some solid news on the ground redevelopment, preferably at least a planning application gone in.

i think they've been very shrewd. even though they have reduced the wage bill you can't deny that when you compare our squad now to this time last season its a lot stronger. maybe we ended the window a signing short of what we needed. but we'll still have funds to spend in january and there may well be some better players available to us come that time.

still on the fence

Im still on the fence too, I sometimes think they may have just got very lucky with the appointment of Rodgers.
Not many managers could have completely overhauled our squad the way he has, in such short time.

I think we have done a decent reshuffle in the squad and the credit for that must go to Rodgers. As for FSG my the judgement is much wider including the stadium. If anything this transfer window reinforces my viewpoint that financial return and minimising risk to their capital is their only consideration. Where that not the case we would have seen far more including a much bigger net transfer budget. And the three league wins this season are despite FSG not because of them

They have there faults but belief that they would sell at a profit is little wide of the mark I think. If that was the case I think Luis would of been sold.

I used to be staunchly pro-FSG and their policies, just because our previous owners completely screwed us, almost into administration, so how could these guys be any worse?! My opinion has changed a bit though.

I'm still in favour of keeping them as they've done a good job at stabilising our finances and therefore the general well being and immediate future of the club, but we will never compete for the league with them in charge it seems, they're just not willing to invest on the same scale as our rivals in positions 1-3. Even top 4 will be a struggle with them in charge.

I think our hopes of getting top 4 this year lie with the Spurs squad taking time to gel and play together. It's been evident in their first 3 games they're not playing as a team yet, but that day will come, and when it does, they will be a force to be reckoned with imo. Arsenal managed to get a great attacking player, but their squad is so injury prone and since the demise of Vermaelen, their defense (and GK) have looked very dodgy. They will still be right up there by the end of the season though, they always are.

Make no mistake, we are still the underdogs by a long shot for 4th, but we're in a much better position to actually do something about it this year, as well as a cup run or 2. Still very much optimistic, but maybe a little less than I was 2 months ago.

If we finish 6th again I dont see them "backing BR" I see them sacking BR...

FSG not on the fence. Not the right owners. People seem to switch goal posts. I'll reserve judgement till this summer.. Next Summer...

Are you ever gonna come out and say your real opinion or do you just like to sit on the fence like b1tches and not come out and say what you think?

That about sums up my position as well. We`ve got off to a great start due to good mgt. by Rodgers. We've also managed to get competition for most positions allbeit on the cheap without a major improvement quality wise, Although Mignolet and Toure are looking like decent additions.
I suppose I'm a bit more optimistic than I was 2 months ago, but when you compare man for man with Spurs, Arsenal, City, United and Chelsea, we still look a bit light in some areas.
And then there's the Stadium issue! So while I'm enjoying Rodgers football philosophy, our recent wins and clean sheets, I'm far from being converted to FSG...yet

I think that's fair Anne, very happy with Rodgers just wish we could see what he would do with a proper budget.
