Great first half. We didn't make it easy for ourselves in the second, but we held on. Our defense held up, and though I think need our attack to be a bit more convincing, I think Suarez's return will mitigate that somewhat.

I'm very encouraged by the fact that so far this season we have shown that A) we can win without Suarez B) we can beat physical teams C) we can hold onto 1-0 leads. All of these were huge problems for us least year. Also, in terms of clinical finishing 5 attempts, 1 on goal, and a goal from that. That's pretty clinical. Also, BR got the tactics spot on today. We managed the physical forwards and the counterattacking game very well today.

Winning ugly is a killer on the nerves but better than dominating and drawing big test next week.
Sterling didn't get 1 minute.........

I still can't see how Cockenburg didn't give that, just glad it didn't cost us in the end.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

I'd also like to point out that I totally called the Cissokho sub and shift of Enrique to the wing. laugh

Cissokho played ahead of Enrique?! It would have been a bit risky changing our back line with a new player with the score still at 1-0... Kudos for calling the duo playing on the same side though.

there was a lot of interchange, but Cissokho was playing LB.
