You have a choice. No one is holding a gun to your head. It is just that you choose to go. You might not be happy about the price, but at the end of the day, you are still willing to spend it, as you do, because going to the game with friends, makes you happy.

You will not fall over and die if you miss a game Stanley, nor will the world stop rotating. You choose to go. I know it has eveolved into a tradition and a habbit, but you really need to recognize that you DO HAVE A CHOICE and that YOU ARE EXTREMELY LUCKY to be able to go.

Yes I am lucky I have Wigan man utd city Bolton Blackburn Preston Liverpool Everton stoke all within an hours drive from my front door. Liverpool is 25 minutes. As regards the cost and choice in a way I am choosing I only go to 9 games a season whereas once I would go to all home games including cup games maybe 25 games a season. I also spend not a penny on club merchandise.

I am sure I am not alone in this and many Manchester utd fans I know do the same. So marko where are the fans of the future going to come from .? Serbia maybe ?

What's to stop you coming on easy jet flight and watching Liverpool ? Plenty supporters come from Ireland Sweden and Norway to Liverpool, home games why not YOU ???

Where are the supporters of the future marko ?

So you choose not to go to all the matches when you live 25mins away due to cost, but then go on to ask why someone who lives 1000miles away on the other side of Europe doesn't go to the matches?

Yes but generally fans from around the country tend to follow success we still have a following because of our history but do you suppose the 6 year olds in Bristol will be asking daddy for a man utd or city or Liverpool shirt ? The model you describe does not work for me unless we acheve some significant success very soon. Young kids generally follow star players and glamour and then you are hooked for life

I still see more kids in Liverpool shirts than I do Chelsea or City or Arsenal. The only team that there's more of is united (I suspect that's the same all over the country)

But I'm sure these kids are Liverpool fans because of their dads and maybe Istanbul. There will be an erosion of the fan base if you stay an average team for to long, how long is to long though.

I'm of the opinion that Liverpool are one of the only clubs that would sell out 60-70k seats without a problem.

They are still a big pull box but less so these days and will be even less in 5 years time if things carry on.

There is a huge reason I can't attend 6 games a season. 1.I don't earn enough, the conversion rate between serbian dinar and pounds is gigantic (i had the luck to live in a country tarnished by 3 wars in 15 years, so you understand I have diferent priorites).

Secondly, I have a family and a job and i do not have the time, for you it's 25 mins to get to Anfield, for me its 25 hours.

I have explained this to you before.

What I find very strange is that every poster who has said anything positive about FSG, seems to feel insulted by your replies. I felt insulted back a few months ago, now JJMelling feels insulted. It's strange that. You advocate a fair chance for all to express their opinion, but then come down on us for having an opinion different to yours.

Either way, i didn't see you at the game in Debrecen, why is that? Plenty of fans from Serbia were present. You could have caught and easyjet flight. I have told you on numerous occassions I can afford max 1 game a year.

Either way, to answer your question Stanley, the new fans are not gonna be old men who complain about stuff, but youngsters, teenagers, don't worry about the fan base, there are millions of us, some better of financially than others, but the stadium will be full, week in, week out.

P.S. I think JJ's English is exemplary, i really don't see why you are having difficulty understanding him. He is very well spoken and presents his views very well IMO.
