Well if I only support success jmelling I would pretty much have switched to utd 25 years ago and might now swap to city.

I want success for Liverpool and I don't think the FSG model of low investment in the team and the club will bring long term success in fact I think over the next 5 years we might fall further behind teams like spurs and arsenal..

You thnk different I am interested to understand why. It does appear English is not your first language and you might have the reason in your mind but am not able to explain clearly.

That's fine lets leave it for now,

I am very much English, and that you have chosen to even bring up my nationality and spoken language is seriously questionable, and would be for anyone who has expressed an opinion quite clearly. Just because you can't understand my opinion, doesn't necessarily mean it is the fault of the poster.

You have a choice. No one is holding a gun to your head. It is just that you choose to go. You might not be happy about the price, but at the end of the day, you are still willing to spend it, as you do, because going to the game with friends, makes you happy.

You will not fall over and die if you miss a game Stanley, nor will the world stop rotating. You choose to go. I know it has eveolved into a tradition and a habbit, but you really need to recognize that you DO HAVE A CHOICE and that YOU ARE EXTREMELY LUCKY to be able to go.

I agree prolific, If the experience is as bad as some people make out why do they keep going? If I go out for a meal and come home saying that was a complete rip-off the restaurant is a mess, it's not what it used to be. I wish it would go bankrupt so that someone else takes it over and make it a two dine for £10 pub. I don't think I would go back.

I know football is a labour of love and not really a choice (to support them) but you can choose not to go, give you seat to someone who will appreciate it. Whatch the game at the pub.

You are right in saying that the only way of you getting your way is harming the club and them by proxy, by removing your income. But the fanbase is big enough to cope. So I guess they won't worry about you not being a "paying fan" anymore.

I just think anybody that believes they HAVE TO and that it is the ONLY CHOICE doesn't understand business past first base. So if you believe it, I'm sorry, but I think you fall under that same umbrella. I don't mean to insult, but spending money is not the only option, and any good businessman understands that there are a number of options to go down, and it is not all down to just throwing money in a pot. And that basically summarises everybodys opinion on what has to be done that is against FSG.

For a step change (this is what I think is required now to bridge the gap because other clubs already better than us are also improving/progressing), you need to invest, unless of course you have a unique recipe for success that is very difficult to copy, in business you will call that a USP (Unique Selling Proposition), it is your competitive advantage. You seem to believe that LFC/FSG have it today through BR's management/coaching skills and the scouting team/committee and you seem to think that what we have is so unique that it can bridge the huge gap between us and the top 5 teams despite having 3 of them namely City, Spurs and Chelsea outspending us.

Seriously, I don't know what makes you believe this, our manager has never shown to be much better than their managers, in fact, he has never finished above them, not even Moyes, let alone winning trophies more tgan them. The only benefit of the doubt that I could give is the purchase of Coutinho and to a lesser extent Sturridge (Benteke for instance is better value for money paid by Villa to bring him in), but then, even with these players and those brought in, I feel top 4 will be difficult. Do you honestly feel that we have right now the team including the manager to get into top 4 this season? I am saying top 4 because this is the stated intent of BR.

He has been a manager in the EPL before joining us isn't it. There are reasons for sure but fact is, he has not finished better than them, so where is the proof that he is MUCH BETTER than them. He might be, but nobody knows.

Yes I am lucky I have Wigan man utd city Bolton Blackburn Preston Liverpool Everton stoke all within an hours drive from my front door. Liverpool is 25 minutes. As regards the cost and choice in a way I am choosing I only go to 9 games a season whereas once I would go to all home games including cup games maybe 25 games a season. I also spend not a penny on club merchandise.

I am sure I am not alone in this and many Manchester utd fans I know do the same. So marko where are the fans of the future going to come from .? Serbia maybe ?

What's to stop you coming on easy jet flight and watching Liverpool ? Plenty supporters come from Ireland Sweden and Norway to Liverpool, home games why not YOU ???

Where are the supporters of the future marko ?

Younger fans with more disposable income will always take the place of fans that leave because of family, mortgage ect.... I live in the southwest I know about 10 people on the waiting list for a season ticket, I also know four people that already have season tickets (they make the two and a half hour drive every home game)
