I feel sorry for Ian Ayre

He's taking a lot of flack for FSG's failings

probably why he is still there doing a job he never should have got

I like the fact that we don't want to let ourselves be bent over and screwed. I think Coutinho or Sterling can do a good job out on the left so whatever happens i'm not to bothered.

I think their form will have dips, hence another option wouldn't be a bad thing, but it might not be needed so spending 30m might not be a wise move.

Like others have said, a new midfield leader is required. Gerrard, Keane, Viera, Yaya Toure, type player. We need someone to take over from Gerrard. Someone that can make a difference to both attack and defence. Needs to be tall and strong to win headers, but skilful ans fast enough enough to drive with the ball and make chances and space.

I am going to start a kickstarter campaign to splice and clone these players, anyone want to back it?

What seems strange to me is that we apparently were prepared to bid as high as £ 30M for Willian, but didn't want to secure the deal for Mkhitaryan which was far less.

IMO the latter seems a better player than the former, but this late in the window we must have started panicking and hence accepting to go higher to get our new target.

What kind of strategy is that? Suddenly we have the money we did'nt want to spend 6 weeks earlier???

only other similar type of player probably worth going for is erik lamela from roma. going to be a top player in the future and has scored some amazing goals for them.

even he might be out of our reach though. same goes for eriksen. makes you wonder with eriksen why nobody has come in for him yet. one of the top prospects in europe available at a cut price and nobody bats an eye lid. mad! still not sure if he would be interested in coming to liverpool ;/

doubt we will sign arda, we've heard it every summer and nothing has ever come of it. i'm pretty sure we could have picked him up for around £11m at one point.

There is some young kid who is highly rated. He is Jamaican born but seems to get into some off field trouble. He has been capped at full international level and most recently stared for the under 21s. How much do you think he would be worth?
