Just talking to a city fan I know who went to the game last night. Yes Newcastle were bad but apparently City were awesome and Chelsea look handy too. Anyone who thinks Utd will fold then I suggest you think again. For us if we are to sneak 4th its aresnal we have to target I know they had a bad result but that will be a tall (but possible) order for us.

But on the general football front really looking forward to the prem this year and the title race I think it might be the best yet.

it does look very competitive this year. with the signings spurs have made and the lack of signings from arsenal we could see a shift in power there somewhere. arsenal always seem to finish well but i think it could be too tall of a task for them this year to scrape 4th place again. spurs, if they keep bale could even have a crack at 3rd imo.

theres no reason why we can't improve on last year. a full season for sturridge & coutinho with the other additions we've made and maybe more to come should see us pick up more points. especially if suarez stays and plays like he did last season.

for a winner i'd put my money on chelsea. but city look really strong and again man united will be well in the mix.

should be an interesting season

With the players we have at hand, and the likely additions of somewhere between 1-3 new recruits to go into the starting XI, I think a 5:th place is doable for LFC this year.

If Spuds lose Bale and don't replace him properly we might even have a chance at 4:th.

But Chelsea and Citeh will battle about the title IMO. Manure finishing 3:rd. After that it's either Spuds or us in 4:th depending on Bale's exit.

I honestly dont think united stand a chance this season and it will be their big games against the top 6 that decide this. City on the other hand are looking like a team that could win the champs league. Even with Mourinho back, city look much stronger than them and they finally have a manager who is ruthless and likes attacking football.

I reckon it's City's to lose. Chelsea lack a 20 goal a season man at the moment but if they bring one in before the transfer deadline then I reckon the best way to call it is by flipping a coin.

Looking at the squads currently I think spuds will get 4th and we will be battling with arsenal for 5th. Obviously this is subject to transfers till the deadline closes
