Sorry to disappoint Mighty, but I actually have a lot of sympathy for the Arsenal. A proper club that has earnt their position the hard way - like ourselves - is being crippled by second-rate businessmen and their unwillingness to play the hyper-real game created by billionaire plastic clubs like City, Chelsea, PSG etc.

I have no doubt that Wenger is lost in the the ridiculously over-inflated market (unlike BR and AVB, for example, who are really trying to cope, imo), but let's make one thing clear, the artificial hyper-reality that has been created by the plastic billionaires is NOT good for football and especially not the fans (for a good explanation read this http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footbal...the-absurd.html).

How many clubs need to gamble their existence to compete before we say enough is enough? Clearly FFP is a load of bllcks if City and PSG are allowed to compete in the CL this season. How much were the stadium rights to the Etihad bought for by the company (that has never posted a profit, incidentally) run by the owners brother - GBP400 million? It's a joke that that was allowed to pass.

And let's not forget that we are suffering because of this more than Arsenal. Just because we won our opening game and they didn't, doesn't mean we're A-ok.

Come on Liverpool, Spurs, The Arse and even (can't believe it even though I type it) Manure, let's get Chelsea and City out of the Top 4 and rid ourselves of their ridiculous owners ruining the game.

rant over.

I used to like the way Arsenal did their stuff but that £40m +1 bid for Suarez was lower than low. Then Wenger had the cheek to talk about integrity and doing thing right! What a [oops] tosser!

Agree with what you wrote. Just can't pass up the chance to see the in-fighting within the club.

I know what you mean - just wish it was City rather than the Arse

I understand your position but then I have a different perspective of the whole billionaire owner issue.

United is blessed with the fact that they have the biggest fan base in the world and if they didn't have owners ripping them off (through interest payments and dividends) they would be in position of buying like City and Chelsea. We have a relatively big fan base but the club has been mis-managed for ages, Arsenal are building from their own resources because their owners see the club as an investment which will be bringing returns eventuallly.

Should we really blame owners who are spending their own money to improve their asset (or toy if your prefer) like Abramovich and Sheik Abu Dhabi, while Arsenal, United and LFC owners (all Americans btw) want self sustained clubs who eventually can pay returns (the Glazers are already there)?

Talking about Fair Play, is it fair that United could spend more than anybody else a decade back because thay had the biggest fan base in the world (before that Abramovich bought Chelsea)? At the end of the day, any money a club can spend comes from the fans directly or indirectly (tv money and sponsorship) and if you have a billionaire as a fan (Abramovich), I can't see anything wrong with that, all fans spend according to their means, including the Chelsea and City fans, even if they are owners.

Just watched a few of those videos done by Arsenal FC FanTalk, it's a shame we don't have such an outlet as Liverpool fans where people can voice their opinions via a video interview.

Regarding Arsenal, I've always had a lot of respect for the way they've run that club but as others have said, the 40million and 1 pound bid was a joke, how could they have possibly believed that could ever have been accepted? I hope they fail to qualify for the champions league against Fenerbahce as I believe it'll decrease the quality of the panic buys they're surely about to make and I'd absolutely love it if we could pip them to fourth spot this year.

Its good to see the fans (whatever club they follow) airing their frustrations. This sort of thing will grow I think as we all become fed up of certain owners who don't really care about the fans/club. Like the previous poster said its a pity our fans don't have this outlet.

the journos on sunday supplement indicatd that Arsene is the problem as he dithers too much, Agents bring players too him then give up as he cannot decide if he wants them or not. When Dein was there the club was far more decisive and bought well each summer. We have a money issue whilst Arsenal have an Arsene issue.
