did we buy the wrong goalie?
I think there was some talk of us buying begovic before we bought mignolet.
I know it's early days and sm made a great save at the end but begovic played a blinder yesterday whereas sm looked a little bit shaky to me...perhaps due to it being his debut...

say what now?

Happy with Mignolet but I really wanted Begovic.

Just don't think they were gonna let him go unless it was for 15 or so Mil.

Mignolet is good and could be great in time. CErtainly a good deal at the price and we just can't justify 15+ Mil on a keeper, sadly.

so we're comparing how good both goalies are based on one game? haha

both goalies were hero's in their own right in that match

Mignolet will only improve..he's 25, we got him at a good point in his career, hopefully we'll see the best of him once he settles..

Indeed, however, don't think that replacing Reina was a priority, could have used the 10m better, like on a Centre Half or added that 10m to buy a better winger than Aspas who was bought as a squad player according to BR himself.

reina had to go, he was stinking the place out. vital he was replaced.

True Vish, but I do think that Pepe needed a move, there's no denying he's not the player he was a few seasons ago, maybe Rafa can revive him.
I thought Aspas did very well considering he wasn't exactly a 'high profile' signing but if he can make the step up then all the better, more options for us.
