Fsg, ayre, br u can learn a lot from the way spurs have scouted, signed quality players for their starting 11 n squad and they do not mess abt wen it comes to signing players.... Hint hint mr ayre

Signing of players yes, scouting i am not so sure about.

I thought there was to quote BR, a player to strenghten the first 11, as we have increased the quality of the squad...

Leaving it late me thinks...

It is getting worrying the lack if urgency, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt for new. If however they mess this window up I'll have made my mind up about FSG. Surly you identify your targets before the window even opens and then do all you can to get the players in when it does open.

Perhaps we're not leaving it late. Perhaps our targets are chosing to play for other clubs or using us to sign new deals?

The lack of CL is hurting us already and it's only been like 4/5 years

One would think so, however, if you go in for a player early and it leaks to the media, other clubs can enter the rače fuelling a bidding war,which is why many clubs leave it till the end of the window to make bids. By the time the bid leaks to the press, gets made public and a bid is put together by another club, there isnt much time for a bidding war and the prices are usually more reasonable.

When you offer players sh1t wages, they turn you down.

Didn't someone say last year that our principles regarding wages is based upon rewarding the players with improved contracts.

i.e.
We will offer you a good but not spectacular contract. If you settle in and work out you will earn an improved contract.

as opposed to how we use to do it...
you come to us cos we will pay you a fat wedge, then you fail to make the grade and you sit on the bench cos nobody will buy you cos of your wage demands. Then we loan you out and still pay a portion of your wages, until we inevitably sell for a huge loss.
