Yeah, I do get frustrated when people don't bother to spend the time to look at things the way I do. I don't mind if you then choose to reject it, but I never look at a post that's against mine and instantly just oppose it. I often feel people can not bother to really analyse things, and then try and put you down even though you spend a lot of time coming to that conclusion. I find it very disrespectful, and I learnt from it because I'd done so before and made a lot of mistakes in that way. I'm not looking to kick Mick off. It is not about meaningless targeting. But if he is on here to just wind people up then I oppose it. And he has not given a single backing to any part of the club, which ultimately suggests he isn't supporting the club going forward. There is nothing wrong with opposing things, but to suggest "nothing is right" and not just that, but "all the time" will always rub people up the wrong way, especially when the suggestion of "its just my prerogative" is just anti-rose-tinted glasses to be negative all the time.

A 'bible basher' someone who has blind faith only provides an opinion without debatable reasoning. If you question their faith they will dismiss any argument you make.
Likewise, you have people on the opposite stance. Truly against it, but again an opinion without debatable reasoning.

Both these types of are not open to a debate. Their opinions are worthless.

If we take 'Stanley Park' as a case in point. He is towards the latter group, but the fundamental difference is that he has recently shown a willingness to look for the reasons to be less negative. This thread in itself is asking for reasons to not feel doom and gloom. It tried to start a rational debate.
The thread was ruined. Carheex has been replaced with Mick Eire, and I see the negativity as nothing more than disruptive attention seeking, as their opinions are not debatable, and that only leaves what accounts to trolling.
Maybe I am wrong and they don't actually posses the social skills to formulate constructive discussion.

Scainer I pretty much think we are in a hole. I am trying to be postive at the start of the new season if you cant be postive when can you be? Its not all doom and gloom we could get into the champions league this season suarez decides to stay and the new signings shine. All these are possible.

But I feel if this season goes badly the fans will react I dont think I am alone in being very cynical about FSG

If this season goes badly, i.e we aren't in with a real chance of top 4, i will lead the charges against FSG with you Stanley. I have a good feeling though, we are gonna rock this campaign. OUR TIME HAS COME!

I think it really is sad seeing people supporting the same team falling out like this. There is so many other things going on that we dont know about. I think we should nip it in the bud and anybody found using such language must donate £2 to a charity i have one for example.

Thankyou for your time

J,

Like your earlier lengthy post but one thing I'd like your opinion on is Rogers himself. We appear to be having every player justify his crazy salary as far as we can. It also appears yet again Downing if he goes is the latest who just hasn't done it and isn't justifying his salary. Applaud this for sure as BR looks for better 'value/quality' within his budget.

Stadium improvement and the fact £350-£400 million or so on 15,000 seats can't be justified I also agree with. There are numerous other examples of things the club is doing better you have highlighted a number of times too but smile surely the manager's technical ability is still crucial to success?

If he fails the rest is pretty meaningless to a fan is it not? Also looking at the huge mess Kenny and Commoli left proves for me that this cannot be easily negated going forward if yet again the manager doesn't bring success on the field which is my biggest doubt and concern.

Top4, what is your opinion of BR? Personally, when he was appointed I was quite disappointed we didn't approach Rafa, although I do understand FSG after the Kenny scandal. I started off very very weary of BR, and he has made some mistakes, but it seems to me he has learnt from them too as he didn't repeat them later in the season. I have grown from one of his biggest critics to one of his biggest fans.

Brendon Rodgers won me over this season also. I really enjoyed watching Liverpool play in the second half of the season, lets just hope it continues.

I completely agree that the manager is crucial to making any of this success happen. I know a lot of people want us to win the league, but I'm not looking that far ahead right now. It is more about putting our name in the hat for 4th place, and then for the top 3.

For me, Rodgers has done very little wrong since the Christmas period. You can see his development in the squad to get a closer understanding within the core group was beginning to not only work but bear ripe fruit. The fluidity of play was good. The attacking standard was far better than the club has seen in a long time. And the defence, that was so bad, still only let in 3 more goals than the mighty defence of the previous year.

So the question then moves on to the transfer windows and the standard of players coming in. To be honest, I think anyone saying Borini and Allen are poor have not watched them outside of the club, and have judged them, in my eyes, a little prematurely. Both January signings were top drawer at the perfect time, and the only ones brought in under the current committee. He has proved, of late, to be a great judge of talent.

And then you're asking to judge him as a coach and motivator, and that is his forte. Lots of experience around great young players, and near 2 decades of doing that.

The way FSG are working it, the coach is of vital importance. So anyone not behind BR will be struggling to see the potential benefits long-term. That is my view.
