To all the doom and gloomers out there can you please post a detailed argument as to why Liverpool will never be able to compete at the top of the table again.

Nobody said Liverpool will 'never compete' for top four again. I like many others are simply pointing out at present, we are not equal to clubs in the top 5: Spurs, Chelsea, Man City and United all have a better squad than us.

Could you please explain your opinion that Spurs have a better squad than us? Do you believe they have better players?

Well first of all lets see the table finishes since our decline which was around 2009/2010

2009/10 Liverpool= 7th Spurs = 4th
2010/11 Liverpool= 6th Spurs = 5th
2011/12 Liverpool = 8th Spurs = 4th
2012/13 Liverpool = 7th Spurs= 5th

A better squad ensures a greater endurance in performances, and as you can see spurs have been finishing above us past the 4 years.

League table never lies, but Spurs may be about to lose their most influential player.

That may have a detrimental affect on them?

It certainly wont help them.

We need to keep our talisman too remember, if we keep Suarez we can slowly ascend back to the top.

stop being cruel to them aldo and forcing them to listen to the truth and some cold hard facts, you know you have to tell them we will win the League, European Cup, Grand National and Boat race next season otherwise they will call you a WUM. Spurs have just spent over 50 million pounds on Brazils anchorman for the 2014 world cup and broke there transfer record for one of the deadliest strikers in the Spanish League, we would buy 12 players for that amount and hope to get 2 decent ones out of them. You watch Spurs stretch the gap between us this season, especialy if they sell Bale and invest the money wisely.
