No, i am saying he won't go to Arsenal. Well tha's what I believe. I think he will most likely leave, but not to Arsenal and if Real get Bale, i believe that then, he will stay.

I didn't want Reina to go, but as soon as he starts talking about leaving and going home, how really committed is he? As a few have already said on here, he'll be at Barca next year when Valdes finally goes, so the club had to make a decision before Reina, to protect the club and secure a goalkeeper for next season. How much do you think we would have paid for Migholet if Reina had gone and Sunderland knew we needed a goalkeeper?
Now the Barca switch never materialised so we end up with 2 keepers competing for the No.1 spot. Ideal, but which ever one you play, the other is understandably not going to be happy.

If we started with Reina then Migholet potentially starts to lose his place in the Belgium team, causing him to become upset and potentially start looking for a new team even before his Anfield career has started.
Start with Migholet and you have Reina upset about potentially not getting into the Spanish squad for the world cup, but more importantly for Liverpool, his transfer value starts to tumble. Send him out on loan to Napoli, where he is playing and hopefully performing every week, his transfer value at the worst remains static. Ensuring that not only do we save on his wages for this year, but we save on the negative lose on his transfer fee next year when he eventually goes to Barca.
Ideally the club would have loved to have sold him, but as mentioned, I believe he will be at Barca next year, that's where he wants to play, so who is going to pay a transfer fee for him for a year. Arsenal are looking for a keeper and have sniffed around before, so why haven't they come in for him?

His letter is a PR stunt to try and gain the support off the fans. I've no hard feelings about him wanting to leave, but equally I feel the club have done the right thing in this instance. Also, if he wanted to stay and fight for his place that badly, all he had to simply say to Napoli was no.

Exactly

Valdes says hes leaving Barca, Reina says he wants to go to Barca,Liverpool get replacement keeper,Valdes says he's staying,Barca dont bid for Reina,Reina then says he wants to stay and fight for his place.

Hardly LFC's fault. If Barcelona had of bid for him ,he would have been away. No point in him spitting the dummy out now.

Maybe they really want to keep him.

Apart from the fact there is no sentiment in football nor should there be in terms of contracts.

Aside from that

We dont know what went on behind the scenes.

no chance FSG want shut but they have to be careful how they do it, double what you paid for him is all FSG see.

So reina wanted to stay and is a bit unhappy , well I say the club have called his bluff as if Barcelona had come calling he would be out the door in a flash , he has courted them and atletico madrid for st least two seasons , none of them interested so the club have made the decision over him which I have no problem with .

I tend to agree that they want to sell but I believe they too are aware they can get even more for him if he has another good season, just look at Bale's price.

If the price quoted for Bale is Realised, Suarez will look cheap at £55 million. smile I honestly think it's about time UEFA and FIFA had a long look at transfers and contracts in general because this is now utter lunacy.

Yes and no

It depends on the buyer if there is not a club willing to pay that amount then he is not worth that. Madrid if they buy Bale maybe might not buy suarez
