If goons are the only bidder and the fee is around 50 mil they would sell ! Even their mother that's for sure i wont get into it, but i disagree.

Cheers for the memories Pepe. Even when you weren't at your best you were better than most. YNWA.

Do you think that Suarez will get sold for 50 mil even to Arsenal Vish? Or do you believe they will only sell him abroad? I dont know what to think anymore but i dont believe they will sell to Arsenal. I think they would sell to the highest bidder even if it's Arsenal (according to rumours they have already told Arsenal 55m). They did it with Torres and don't tell me they knew that Torres had lost form (they didn't even understand the rules of soccer then), they were probably told that with that kind of money, it would not be difficult to replace him and money would be saved to have Suarez's deal financed. They are good business people, and LFC is a business for them, otherwise, you don't become rich as Mr Henry is.

How many people on here would be saying the same is Reina had left for Barca (as planned) and left us with no keeper. Yes he may of wanted to stay now the Barca bid never materialised, but you would all be calling FSG and Rodgers if Reina had left and we had Brad Jones as our No.1.
I didn't want Reina to go, but as soon as he starts talking about leaving and going home, how really committed is he? As a few have already said on here, he'll be at Barca next year when Valdes finally goes, so the club had to make a decision before Reina, to protect the club and secure a goalkeeper for next season. How much do you think we would have paid for Migholet if Reina had gone and Sunderland knew we needed a goalkeeper? Now the Barca switch never materialised so we end up with 2 keepers competing for the No.1 spot. Ideal, but which ever one you play, the other is understandably not going to be happy.
If we started with Reina then Migholet potentially starts to lose his place in the Belgium team, causing him to become upset and potentially start looking for a new team even before his Anfield career has started. Start with Migholet and you have Reina upset about potentially not getting into the Spanish squad for the world cup, but more importantly for Liverpool, his transfer value starts to tumble. Send him out on loan to Napoli, where he is playing and hopefully performing every week, his transfer value at the worst remains static. Ensuring that not only do we save on his wages for this year, but we save on the negative lose on his transfer fee next year when he eventually goes to Barca. Ideally the club would have loved to have sold him, but as mentioned, I believe he will be at Barca next year, that's where he wants to play, so who is going to pay a transfer fee for him for a year. Arsenal are looking for a keeper and have sniffed around before, so why haven't they come in for him?
His letter is a PR stunt to try and gain the support off the fans. I've no hard feelings about him wanting to leave, but equally I feel the club have done the right thing in this instance. Also, if he wanted to stay and fight for his place that badly, all he had to simply say to Napoli was no.

If Pepe is at Napoli, why would he need the support of Liverpool fans?
There is no reason to believe that even if Barca came in for Pepe, he would have left before we got a replacement so for me that comparison doesn't hold water.

For two years he has been linked with moves away. He openly admits that a chance to move home is wanted. The general opinion when his patchy form was apparent was that we needed a replacement. During the season people were lining up replacements before a hint of a move was even mentioned.
Rodgers told Reina that he was going to sign a keeper. Was it really a shock after a keeper arrived that he would be moved out?
Reina is full of heart. He does have love for the club, but his true love is Barcelona. He is only on loan, and it is possible that he will be back here next season.
There is no reason to believe that he would not have left as soon as Barca made an offer.

There's no doubt in my mind that the club has made the right move regarding pepe. However, he is justified in blaming the management if what he says in his letter regarding the manner of his departure is correct.

So if the Club acted in its best interest once they knew Reina wanted to go to Barca and showed no sentiment and got shut, why are they taking so long to get shut of this little weasel Suarez, who has publication stated his wish to leave, as usual the Club reeks of double standards.
