Just saying you are a fan does not bring in more revenues. Buying a match ticket or buying official merchandise does increase the club revenues. Sky or whatever indirectly finds its way to the club.
But if you want to support the club do the former The bigger the fan base statistically speaking, the probability of having more revenues is higher even if not ALL fans spend on the team, you will have the same will all teams, but you are right, to get more revenues, you need more fans, local or global to spend on the team.

The world wide fan base do not directly contribute to the club, but by extension without having the huge fan base we would not be able to command the big sponsorship deal that we have.
I guess my point is we need everyone. how has big sponsorship deals helped us exactly when we are the worst we have been both on and off the pitch for over 40 years. We sign these so called big sponsorship deals with Warrior and Standard Charter yet find ourselves further away from a League title and Champions League than ever before, we can no longer attract the top players, our top players want out, our wage bill needs reducing, we operated at a loss last season, we are 80 million pound in Debt after only a few years ago having it wiped out when we were bought and now the club had increased prices for match going fans to over 50 quid a game. I put on the telly and see all these fans all over the world, hear about this global fanbase buying shirts then get told how much of a big club we are and then look at the league table every season and see us battling with the likes of Everton, Fulham and West Brom every season. Something just doesn't add up somewhere. Very easy to understand though, if you put a little bit of effort. Fan base doesn't manage the club, just brings in more revenues. LFC has been mismanaged and that doesn't have anything to do with the fanbase, local or global, capiche? No Not Really, because at the end of the day it's either we benefit from the global fanbase or we don't and as it stands we don't, mismanagement makes no difference as we are what we are. With fans you benefit only in your coffers, benefiting on the pitch is up to the management. Without the kind of fan base we have and the type of management, we might be in a lower division, like Forest may be, capiche number 2?

I don't thnk a global fan base harms us but provides benefits in some extra revenue and certainly without it we would be more worse off in attracting sponsors.
However I do feel its impact is exaggerated.
The vast majority of the clubs income is from Britain Ireland and Scandinavia Source??? I've lived in three different Nordic countries and I'll tell you now, there's sod all money coming from up here. Seriously.

Just as horrible to make things up and pass them off as truth You're just regurgitating what rival fans say, "half of Liverpool fans being Norwegian" - it's an old wives tale. You should bring your clip board up here to Scandinavia. (plus, I lived in Liverpool for 12 years before I moved up here - seen it from both sides of the fence.)

But if you want to support the club do the former yes I agree stanley however good luck with trying to convince some on here with that theory, I think they are somehow under the impression the club thinks of us all the same fans. Liverpool make more from tv rightsthan they do from match day tickets so if anything tv viewers are more important.

but the club and cash go hand in hand, I will ask again how have we benefited on the pitch from this mythical global fanbase when we are only a bog standard mid table Club, famous yes but bog standard and not big. You cant seriously hide behind mis management because we have'nt won the league in coming up to a quarter of a century and one European cup in 30 years, mismanagement is a very lame excuse.

But you'll never understand this, too complicated for you.
