After talking about reliable sources does anybody think this could have any truth at all. I really dont know how there could be a clause just to talk to a player.

it does seem strange though doesn't it. 40m allows you to talk to another club? hardly makes any sense.

If the bid value is actually true and not just in itself made up, then there is a hint that the agent has talked to Arsenal.
It would then be logical to assume that something is written into the contract. I am sure liverpool have previously stated that no clause is in it, and Suarez stated that the club should listen to what he wants, which hints that it is their choice not contract related.

The only way that he might stay is if he believes in the FSG project, but if the plan is to compete for the title in 5 years when all the young players with potential mature, he would wish to move, even to Arsenal. Didn't Barry choose City over us when we were in the champions league and they were not, but then he said he felt City had a better project and surely he also got higher wages. He definitely made the good choice for himself.

I don’t think it’s true, and even if it is, it’s just posturing and it’s not worth anything. If Arsenal came back in two or three weeks time with a 45m offer and Suarez sticks in a transfer request LFC would be hard pressed not to let him go. I think our best hope at this stage is that RM or some other European club comes in with a bid above Arsenals, since I’d hate to see him go to a PL club, but one way or the other I think we’ve seen the last of him at LFC, except maybe in the thailand game.
