It seems that barring a replacement for suarez if he leaves, we're settled on the forward front with the signings of Aspas and Alberto.

That leaves us with a big problem - lack of height or aerial threat. How many times have we seen us putting aerial crosses in as Plan B, when opponents park the bus, but with no aerial threat whatsoever?

Someone like Mario gomez, who's available at 15m, will greatly balance things up.

I can just foresee us dropping points this season because we have no plan B or attackers who can head the ball.

And we're going to score less than 5 goals from corners. You heard it here first.

I think you can forget about this as it is definitely not BR's style. The only possibility I see is our central defenders heading corners may be, but our attacking players will be all shorter, less physical but relatively more technical.

I agree it would be nice to have some height in the front-line as an option, however such players are few and not easy to find. Firstly they should be able to fit into the managers style, also they should be available at a good price, I think the last player we had who fit that description and was fairly successful was Crouch, the rest have been a disaster. Like someone said I guess the defenders will have to do a job for us in that department.

ian Rush and Dalglish didn't head many in. Maybe make plan A so god damn good you don't need a plan B.

Rush and Aldridge both knew how to use their heads.

Yes, but for the other games that we drew or lost, we didn't have a plan B and ended up putting high balls into the box without anyone to attack them. That's going to happen again this season and we need to fix them if we want 3 points.

Difference this season is Suarez might be about to Vanish, so Cillit Bang and our chances are gone, unless of course we have a replacement lined up to rival Van Persils efforts last season that helped Utd clean up wink

Washing powder jokes aside you have a point, we scored the highest number of goals by a team finishing outside the top 4 in the premier league era wasn't it. There were a few games we really struggled to break down an organised defence though and it would have been good to have an alternate option, especially from set pieces like corners which often seemed to go to waste.
