Of course it is - Napoli announced Benitez as manager just 4 days after Jose left Madrid so it's perfectly plausible to think he'd met with them several times and were at the negotiating stage. A deal may already have been agreed in principle. Meetings, negotiations, agreements, contracts and annoucements don't just happen overnight.............But if you're looking for more reasons to belittle Benitez you'll only ever accept what suits your agenda, regardless of truth, reason or probability. That just makes you look small minded,

i would say with a certainty that its a common known , not even an issue. if madrid wanted rafa he would be there rite now . to even suggest that napoli beat madrid to him is silly.

I agree with that especially given that everybody knew that RB would not get an extension at Chelsea. If Madrid wanted RB he would have been there but they wanted CA.

At no point has this argument/discussion been about whether madrid wanted Benitez so I'm not sure where you're coming from.

The simple (and best) solution is not to sell him. Obvious really.

what confuses me is if the rumours are true that Mkhitaryan was in London for talks with Ayre. And his club is saying that we have made no official bid. Does that not mean we are breaking the same rules that Suarez is by talking to Real?
I know its all media speculation etc.. but the club can hardly take the moral high ground if both situations are true
