Our squad now assuming Mignolet, Aspas and Alberto are done deals and using the players who have played at first team level more than a handful of times is as follows :

GK : Reina, Mignolet, Jones

RB/LB : Johnson, Enrique, Kelly, Wisdom, Robinson, Flanagan

CB : Agger, Skrtel, Toure, Coates, Wisdom, Kelly

DM : Lucas, Spearing, Allen

CM/AM : Gerrard, Henderson, Shelvey, Coutinho, Allen Alberto(?), Suso

LW/RW : Downing, Sterling, Assaidi, Suarez, Sturridge, Borini, Aspas, Alberto(?)

CF : Aspas, Suarez, Sturridge, Borini

We now have 29 players fighting for 11 positions, i think there will definetly be 3 or 4 departures from this squad. I wouldn't mind losing Downing, Assaidi, Coates, Jones, Reina or Shelvey providing 2 or 3 come in again to add more depth. Another CB is certainly needed imo with Coates or Skrtel maybe leaving? If Suarez leaves we'll surely see 1 "big" signing come in also but i hope we hold on to him until we get a bid of 50 plus million thats if his release clause it false information. What do you think?

Some good players and a good squad.

But good is all we are. Where is the 3 to 4 very top class players all great teams have? Suarez could well leave and unlikely anyone in his class would want to join us unless we paid ridiculous wages. Gerrard is anther year older.

6th place here we come

Stanley not many teams have 3 to 4 top players. Even Man U I would say dont but they have a good squad

---------------Mignolet--------------
Johnson----Toure----Agger----Enrique
--------Gerrard-------Lucas----------
Aspas---------Coutinho--------Suarez
-------------Sturridge--------------

Bench: Reina/Jones, Kelly, Skrtle/Coates, Allen/Hendo, Alberto, Downing/Sterling, Borini.

Looks like a good team to me with options off the bench. With Skrtle likely to leave we still need to strengthen defensively and if we can add one or two more players then we'll have a very strong team for next season.

RVN yeah. Rooney I would say is on the downward spiral and needs a new club to freshen him up. The other two didnt play many games last season specially Vidic

Yep good starting 11 and good squad alright, i would like to see Downing sold with somebody else coming in for back up, i'd sell him and bring in Ince who's also home grown and a better potential, would also maybe get him for whatever money we'd get for Downing. If Suarez leaves someone like Erikson needs to come in to play on the left side of attack also.

Why would we sell our best player?? he's got 4 years left on his contract so we're under no pressure. Even if he's a bit vexed at the moment, there's no need to sell him - it'll pass. Wherever he goes it'll be the same as he'll start off suspended and every country's media will make a big deal of it. He might as well let the dust settle and get on with it over here. I bet he stays.
