Don't see what's wrong with what he said. Of course he'd like to play with the best in the world. What player wouldn't? I just don't get the animosity towards our best player and he is still OUR player. well said. i'm very surprised at Liverpool fans on here. Our club has suffered more than it's fair share at the hands of lies and trouble making in the media so why is everyone so quick to suddenly take the tabloids word as gospel? there 'may' be some truth in him being unhappy at the moment but that doesn't mean we should sell him. It means he needs our support to make him feel at home more than ever. Almost starting to like you. Going to see the quack about this, as i fear i may have some mental issues coming on. Spot on , totally agree, and excellent post. The rest of you, ( bar Wikki) get a bloody grip of yourselves and show some respect for the excellent hard graft he's put in for us. Well said both of you. It's depressing that as soon as one of our players says something he gets jumped on. Has he ever said he wants to leave as i've not heard him say it. Until I do, he's an LFC player and he gets my support weather he deserves it or not. People slate players for not being loyal and respecting the club but how about the fans being loyal to the players and respecting them, as he's more than earned it, while they're here?

the facts over looked are that Luis is right about his press treatment. Its ok to say he desrves criticism but the level is astounding compared to anyone else. Best example is the rugby player who bit an opponent at the weekend on TV. Where is the press outrage? where is Mr Cameron talking about role models etc.All hpyocrites and they know it
we should support Luis and make him feel he is welcome

class player that wants out. main issue is with all this journo pressure stuff. nonsense. he should just stay quiet hand in a transfer request and go to a team that he deserves.
he doesn't need to open his mouth at all.

He HAS come out and said that if he feels isolated because of the Media in Britain.
He HAS said that as much as he loves the club, the fans and everything internally, his family and himself are struggling to cope.
He HAS made reference to an incident (of several according to him) involving a group of fans in Manchester who asked him to pose for a photograph and pretended to bite him in front of his kids, which upset him and his wife.
He HAS said that any player would love to sign for a TOP club challenging for ALL honours, and that is why when asked about Real, he answered the way he did. Because they are and can. Opposed to ourselves who are and can't currently.
That much is evident in documented and audio form. What I can say, is that I:
1) Can't fault his commitment and determination to succeed 2) Can't fault the way he has refrained from commenting for so long 3) Can't fault all he has done for the club (almost singlehandedly at times)
But... I:
1) Can fault the way in which he has all but perceived himself as completely isolated. As a fan base, we have supported him through and through. 2) Can fault the way in which he so openly discusses wanting to move on and needing to get away over... and over... and over again. 3) Can fault him for the misdemeanors he has committed (irrespective of the way the media portrayed them)
I would love him to stay, but as a club we'd likely be best to ship him off for a fair price (should it come in) and bring in a couple of top players. One striker, and maybe one midfielder. He is all but irreplaceable in one sense, but very replaceable in the grand scheme of things. He is a pleasure to watch and such a gifted player. His skill and ability are near one of a kind. But he does miss many chances (despite his goals return) and he is too greedy at times, mainly because of his lack of confidence in others (over pure greed). In this respect, a more proficient striker may be available, who returns more goals at a less "one of a kind" way.

I really dont care what he says to the media. He has been brilliant for us on the pitch and that is where I always judge a player. I wish we had another 10 like him. He will be a huge loss if he goes.

Any fan or employee of the club that thinks we should sell him has lost the plot. We are a team that is desperately trying to regain their place as one of THE big clubs again - selling our best player is NOT the way forward. How about we just manage the situation like Ferguson did with Cantona/Keane, Mancini with Tevez, Redknapp with Modric, to name but a few. Suarez has a long time left on his contract so we are under no pressure at all.
There's no chance of him not giving 100% and trying to improve his behaviour as that is very unlikely to attract any possibly buyers. We need to keep him at all costs and not give in at the first sign of him being supposedly unsettled.

We'll get a good payday if he leaves, can't blame him, I'd leave too given the situation he's created for himself. Fresh start and all that.
I appreciate the goals and the good times - wish him all the best. Is it possible he looked at our recruitment policy and thought his best option was to bite someone's arm off and make good his escape? who should we be buying? Well as we all know any new signing risks not working out, but top quality PL proven players are less risky than 'potentials' and in addition, we need top quality to replace Suarez, not to mention having a go at top 4, so someone like Tevez or in that league is what we should be looking for. Tevez if he'd come wouldn't cost much in transfer , but would in wages, but then one would offset the other, so why not?

Christ, please not Tevez. He's every bit as much trouble as Suarez on a PR front. Plus he's nowhere near as good.

If any player wants to leave then put in a transfer request and leave but don't disrespect the club and the fans . Faz, Jesus Christ almight, he was asked a question and answered it, is that to much for you to comprehend bud? He was asked would he like to play with Ronaldo, he said yes, asked if he wanted to play for Madrid, he said yes. What i want to know is when a player says to the media he wants to join Liverpool, do u give him the same treatment? No, you dont. That said, 50 million please and he's yours, Madrid, if not, then go away.
No,this is not a good town for psychedelic drugs.Reality itself is too twisted.
We can't stop here, this is bat country!
