Watching England and there situation reminds me a bit about ours, they live on a past reputation, they have fans who think they should be winning major tournaments, they still regard themselves as a major force in football, they over hype there better players by calling them world class and every defeat is met with quotes of its a major disaster and change the manager. I'm sorry but are you mentally defective? That has nothing to do with the context of this thread, nothing at all. I personally don't give a sh!t about England so you can take it to another thread. w ell with me coming from a football country where we have a proper league and infilstructure, the point I am making is that come August and the start of the new football season, Liverpool will struggle for some of the same reasons the England National team does, over hype and over expectation, hope this sinks in for you. You may as well have started that sentence with "yes I am a massive pr!ck." As for the point, the question asked is will we struggle with the gelling/transitional period problems. It does not make any sense to talk about England or us living on past reputation.

I have explained my reasoning about our season in August in my own opinion so take it or leave it, don't really care.

'gelling in', 'transitional period', 'new implementation of philosophies' etc etc are all just excuses by managers who are failing, but trying to buy themselves time. IF we buy 4 or 5 new players (as BR has suggested), then that's a good thing. We just need to make sure that we only lose deadwood (spearing, henderson, suso, robinson, skrtel, skrtel, pacheco etc), and keep hold of our core players.

So you want to get rid of both Skrtels, harsh!!
