BBC Sport reporting that we've come out and said he is not for sale. Why keep a player who doesn't want to play? regardless of baggage - if they don't want to wear the shirt, don't let them.

This can only be to get the best deal for everyone. The player is in contract to the club and at the moment the player is saying good things about the club and the fans. So the unhappiness is aimed at the press. Nothing new there really although it has gone on long enough.

The FA bring out their post-Suarez incident punishment tariffs and then the incident gets dragged up yet again.

Our rivals for next season will be glad to see the back of him because unlike other strikers he is unplayable almost every week.

It is clear now though that we will not get much more than £40m as it cannot turn into an auction between going to Spain and staying to play for an English club. There is always PSG and Juventus but it won't be much more.

Worried about the player plus cash deals touted about. We would have to say cash only on this one. Wouldn't take this guy Callejon they are on about + £20m. What is the point unless it is a player we actually want. All that does is use up extra wages. If the guy is that good why is he not in their first team now? Love the way they go on about him being U21 international for Spain. He is 26 now.

Only way we could even consider player plus deals would be to give us £40m + and an on loan Callejon with a max buying option of £5m. In the meantime they save on his wages. If he is any good we buy him or throw him back. Look at that Sahin. I did not rate him and chucking him back to RM was the right option.

We have got tucked up in the past by RM and we should not accept cast offs.

Wouldn't take it. Don't think he would be the success over he like he was before. Certainly would not score as many as in Spain either.
Suarez would get 30 La Liga goals plus others.

Or it could simply be because he is not for sale.

(regarding Callejon, I believe that we have already tried to sign him either in january or last august but Madrid wanted him to stay)

I remember city holding firm on the Tevez deal...perhaps we should do the same. If he feels liek he wants to leave fine, if he feels no loyalty after the club stood by him through thick and thin, then f*ck him, stand firm and say no, he can rot on the bench and throw fits, but I tell you what, not many top clubs would come bidding for Tevez now.

And forego 40m, can't see us doing this, our owners are not the Sheiks from City.

I agree, man city have the luxury of taking a loss to prove a point, if he sits on bench until his contract runs out only we will loose out
