Looking forward tonight to hopefuly seeing Daniel Sturridge make his first start for his country and with a bit of luck score a few against arguably one of the worst footballing nations around, think if he does well it will give him confidence to help with his Liverpool career, I know some people will say its easy to score against non footballing countries like Ireland, Jamaica and San Marino but International football is still a bit different than domestic and European games.

am more interested in Sturridge raising his profile on the big stage so that we can maybe cash in on him if he makes good progress. I don't really care what The F.A national team does or doesn't do but seeing as Liverpool F.C might not play in Europe for a good few years then we need our players to get a profile playing for there respective countries. If Sturridge can score a few against a poor non footballing nation like an Ireland or Faroe Islands then he may force his way into the England squad for the World Cup next year, who knows what can happen then and his value could increase.

Surely if he's doing well it's better for us to keep him and not cash in on him, isn't it?

Football is huge in Ireland, Jamaica and San Marino.
They just have very small populations. The population of England is about 14 times that of Ireland, so do you
think England's team is 14 times better than Ireland's?
It'll be closer than you think (unless paul mcshane starts). I desperately hope Ireland get something tonight mainly because I'm Irish but also to prove you wrong.
Non footballing countries indeed.

His new persona has his selling club hat on.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

i just think we need about 6 players to get back into the top four if that's what we want to do, 6 players and quality ones at that will cost serious funds, that's why we need to speculate to accumulate with our most sellable players. The club and team would benefit and be alot stronger if they sold Suarez and bought two twenty million pound players maybe a forward to partner Sturridge and a top class winger, that's why I say if we can increase players value to sell them then we can benefit further on down the line.
