Well I was happy to welcome him to us, but I wasn't convinced that he was at the quality level we needed, but I was prepared as always to give a new signing a chance. I said at the time that we needed him to hit the ground running and he has. He's done better than I would've expected, however there were a few games when he appeared to suffer from the headless chicken syndrome, and a lack of consistency, so for that reason I want to see him perform and score against a couple of top sides and top defenders before I make a definitive judgment. so far I'd give him a 7 out of 10. He's quick, he's a grafter, he can take on defenders and he gets into good positions to receive the ball and yet as a finisher I'm still to be totally convinced by him, however the first six games next season will make up my mind, I think!

I was excited to get him. Last season, he far outperformed Torres, and he deserved to be starting over him. He's got all the tools of a great striker, and he's been improving every year. I think he will be a great player for us. He has his shortcomings, but I give him an 8.

Was happy when we signed him, first because we badly needed another striker after the summer fiasco, and second, I thought he did well at Chelsea when he was playing. Was worried because he had not played a lot of games for Chelsea this season, never understood why as Torres was still crap. He does go missing sometimes and like Suarez does not always take the best decision when a pass is what is required, being selfish, but, has has proven to be good in front of goals. So far so good I would say.

A lot of people were overly critical of him. So with that in mind, it's a bit of a bonus to see a few people swallowing their words and admitting that they may have got it wrong (even if some are still unwilling to admit it).

It's still early days in his LFC career and next season will be the big test for him after 5 great months to start off with. His goalscoring record so far is world class. If he can even manage a goal every 2 games next season, it'll be a great success. Massive credit due to him - and to Rodgers for taking the punt on signing him.

If he hasn't convinced you yet, EMP, then maybe he will next season. Although, I have no doubt that a large portion of the reason that he hasn't convinced you yet, is due to how overly critical you were of Rodgers signing him and the prospect of having to swallow your pride!

nope not at all..already said he looks a better player than i thought he was. i really thought he was a waster with a crap attitude.

however in a number a games for us he has been totally ineffective. and i still see a sulk coming.

Based on what bullsh!t criteria this time?

Name me one player in the history of the game that "hasn't" had games where he's been ineffective.....

Fair enough, if that's actually your opinion. I certainly don't share that view though, and I think he's done enough in the games he's played so far to earn at the very least, the benefit of the doubt from people who previous accused him of this sort of behaviour - yourself included.
