he is not a winner..he is a loser.
6 yrs he had with us. 2 early cups won on peno's,miracles and the brillance of stevie g. nothing there after ,but he did manage to throw away a league title by being negative.
he is a lucky defensive coach i wouldn't class him as a manager. took over cuper's talented valencia got them organized , came here ,should have built on that success and bought kuyt and crouch instead. flopped at inter, took over world beaters in chelsea and kept them in the same spot he found them.
he is and always will be just a lucky defensive coach playing as a manager. u can't manage if u have zero man management skills. whatever club he gets next he won't last long in. u can take that to the bank totally spot on emp , he did take over a top team built by hector cuper that cuper did take to two CL finals 01 and 02 .

Jan Molby on Rafa:
When he took over in November his brief was to qualify for the Champions League and win a trophy. He will walk away with his reputation enhanced.
His position looked almost untenable back in February when he criticised their fans following their game at Middlesbrough. But he focused on the job in hand and has got results.
His relationship with the fans hasn’t greatly improved and I get the feeling they will be delighted to see the back of him.
I heard a Chelsea fan being interviewed after the Europa League final who said winning it was nothing to do with Benitez, it was all down to the players.
Believe me, that’s not the case.
His time at Chelsea has only confirmed what a lot of us already knew – he’s a very good coach.
He gets teams well organised and is very good tactically.
I think a lot of people in his position wouldn’t have taken the job of interim boss at Chelsea as it’s a such a dysfunctional club with all those egos in the dressing room.
But he fancied it and his decision has been vindicated. He’s got another trophy on his CV and it will be interesting to see where his next destination is.
I think he’d prefer to stay in the Premier League but I don’t think a job will come up quickly enough to take his fancy so he might have to go abroad.
There was certainly interest from Real Madrid a while ago so it will be interesting to see if they target him as Jose Mourinho’s replacement. His probable next stop is PSG as it looks like Ancelotti is going to Real Madrid and Pellegrini to City. Don't think he would take a lower profile job. For me he is a very good manager with may be only JoseM, Pep Guardiola, Ancelotti, Guus Hiddink, Fergie, Fabio Capello, Wenger in front of him.

Yeah, with Wenger's all titles won recently he's definitely behind him... Was not sure about that one, but thought that may be Wenger did better in the league during Rafa's 6 yrs spell at LFC as his budget was lower than Rafa's but, overall may be Rafa might be better.

Real Madrid might want Rafa after today... They should if they really value him, he is free, just won a cup and is a former Madrid man. However, the problem might be his relationship with players which has never really been fantastic

Real Madrid might want Rafa after today... Result wise no doubt Rafa seems to be the better manager. At the later stage of his tenure at LFC lots of his transfer budget came from "wheeling and dealing" arrangements. OK, got some cash but only from jeopardizing the stability in the squad he already had at his disposal. With full backing we would probably never have had to make do with players like Degen, El Zhar, Dossena, Voronin et al. 1 step forwards, 1 sideways and 1 step back - at best - were my feelings during those years.

I hope not. Have more respect... he's not a wheeler dealer ... he's a f*!?*(! football manager!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJBsI7RAuvk

I read somewhere that PSG blocked an attempt by Real to hold talks with Ancelotti....
