That's the CV of a world class manager. He's won the biggest competitions available and he's had successes in 3 different countries. You'd have to be a proper mug to not want him at your club.

or be able to analyze things properly and see his glaring faults..which is why the likes of city will stay clear
maybe if he shook hands with pako he might have a better shout

maybe if he shook hands with pako he might have a better shout City will stay clear because they are mugs. If they want success in Europe, Rafa's their man. Maybe you think city should hire paco then, if he's so vital to success? What has he 'won' recently?

maybe if he shook hands with pako he might have a better shout and the glaring faults that you have so eloquently pointed out are? Because I don't see many. Besides, with a CV like that, you put up with more than a few faults. Rafa is a winner, and if you can't grasp that glaringly obvious fact, you should stop watching football, because clearly you aren't seeing what's going on.

he is not a winner..he is a loser.
6 yrs he had with us. 2 early cups won on peno's,miracles and the brillance of stevie g. nothing there after ,but he did manage to throw away a league title by being negative.
he is a lucky defensive coach i wouldn't class him as a manager. took over cuper's talented valencia got them organized , came here ,should have built on that success and bought kuyt and crouch instead. flopped at inter, took over world beaters in chelsea and kept them in the same spot he found them.
he is and always will be just a lucky defensive coach playing as a manager. u can't manage if u have zero man management skills. whatever club he gets next he won't last long in. u can take that to the bank

Why do we keep arguing about Rafa? He was and still is a good manager but his time with us has gone and I don't see him getting another shot at it so what's the point in arguing all the time?

Jan Molby on Rafa:
When he took over in November his brief was to qualify for the Champions League and win a trophy. He will walk away with his reputation enhanced.
His position looked almost untenable back in February when he criticised their fans following their game at Middlesbrough. But he focused on the job in hand and has got results.
His relationship with the fans hasn’t greatly improved and I get the feeling they will be delighted to see the back of him.
I heard a Chelsea fan being interviewed after the Europa League final who said winning it was nothing to do with Benitez, it was all down to the players.
Believe me, that’s not the case.
His time at Chelsea has only confirmed what a lot of us already knew – he’s a very good coach.
He gets teams well organised and is very good tactically.
I think a lot of people in his position wouldn’t have taken the job of interim boss at Chelsea as it’s a such a dysfunctional club with all those egos in the dressing room.
But he fancied it and his decision has been vindicated. He’s got another trophy on his CV and it will be interesting to see where his next destination is.
I think he’d prefer to stay in the Premier League but I don’t think a job will come up quickly enough to take his fancy so he might have to go abroad.
There was certainly interest from Real Madrid a while ago so it will be interesting to see if they target him as Jose Mourinho’s replacement.
