I can understand were you are coming from Faz. I too wanted Chelsae to win last night and I asked myself why? Obviously it was out of my loyalty and affinity with Rafa not any love for Chelsea. I wanted him to shove it down the throats of the Chelsea fans who booed him and those that dont rate him as a manager.

He is one of us, who fought for us and our club when he didnt have to. Who made us great again. Donated money for the 96, spoke like a humble, modest LFC manager and put us back on our fcuking perch. He is everything our current manager isnt. BR is an imposter and worthy of the club. A pale imitation of our great managers of the past. He is cheap and a YES man and thats the only reason he is there.

For Istanbul alone we owe him a debt of gratitude and respect and yet some on here attempt to castigate him at every turn. I cannot get my head around it...

Faz when replying to you it is like talking to a child. When someone explains their point, you don't even acknowledge it and instead you reiterate your point over and over again. Stop being so repetitive man, we know that you believe Chelsea should have won it, got the luck of the draw, blah blah blah. All people are trying to say is that its not solely down to the team; its the manager who picks the team and its Rafa who has implemented key changes in his team for the Europa league which has played a big part in Chelsea's success in that competition.

Liverpool were pretty ordinary when Houllier left and Rafa won us the CL - were we the best team in it then? no. We won it 'because' of RB and the same goies for chelsea last night.
If Rafa hasn't proved beyond any doubt to everyone that he is a top top manager, then those few remaining to be convinced aren't worth convincing.

On a slightly different note, I can't believe that City are going for Pelligrini when Rafa is available! He'd jump at the chance to be Utd's big rivlas again and would quite comfortable win them the league.

Spot on, Rafa gets no credit as a manager when he lead us to CL and FA Cup wins yet he gets condemned as a manager in his last season.

Also I'll have you know that the bookies had Benfica and Chelsea priced quite evenly, dismissing your notion that Chelsea were miles ahead of the pack...

And yes I am ecstatic that they won it, not for chelsea but for Rafa, because it makes people like you look really silly still trying to argue that Rafa is useless and a poor manager whilst he collects European and world trophies.
