our season should not be defined by what happens against Everton this weekend. A win and all is brilliant a loss and we should sack the manager.
Everton are an old team with lots of stability and experience, they have a strong mentality and are generally a focused group.
LFC I think are more flambouyant than EFC but with this comes inconsistency. The magic of Coutinho could easily be lost in the hustle bustle of a derby.

For me i like seeing a young exciting team with movement and skill. Very much on the front foot as often as possible, hence the feast of goals this year. BR to improve us though will have to address the defensive side to really push this team on. 24games conceeding two or more goals shows quite clearly where the problems lie. Mentally we need to be stronger, phsically we need to impose ourselves more to see games out. We could quite easilly have 10+ points if soem basics of defending had been followed.
Equally our competition will improve next season. For us major surgey is not required and a relatively peaceful structured summer should await us. First in a long time. If we get it right then champs league qualification and beyond are very mutch within our grasp.

If we lose at home to nEverton this Sunday then its time for Brent to go as it would show clear decline, that said i think we'll smash them 3 or 4 nil for some reason once Coutinho and Hendo play.

I think that would definately be over the top. How does losing to a strong Everton side show clear decline?

i agree with everything you have said. Unfortunately, whatever way the result goes this weekend, there will be over the top reactions from one camp or the other.

Everton for me, are favourites in this match. they have had a great season, with stability and a strong physical squad. We on the other hand have been up and down, but when we struggled, it was usually against the physical sides. If BR does get the tactics and setup right though, it would show that he is slowly learning from his mistakes.

Either way, it should make for interesting and nail biting, hair pulling viewing...

Why should Everton be favourites, we are playing at home, played well demolishing Newcastle away, drew with Chelsea and by now players should have understood what BR wants from them. If we want to start competing for Champions league position, we need to be able to beat Everton AT HOME.

I would think we're favorites. The ref was all that saved them last time we played them, and we haven't lost to Everton in years, especially at home. We have more quality in our squad, even without Suarez.
