Rafa was spot on today with his tactics. After the sending off we controlled the game with 10 men. What a fantastic tactician he is. Really knows the game and how to use his players. Well done Rafa.

Kuyt: What can I say? He's there when we need him the most. Was everywhere on the pitch and proves why he is so vital to us in the big games.

Carra: Legend.

Mascherano: The best right back in the Premiership? wink

Ngog: Worked his socks off and performed admirably as our target man after the sending off.

Lucas: Didn't notice him much, but put in the silent work next to Gerrard in the middle of the park.

Reina: Clean sheet.

Insua: Another solid performance from the Argentinian. Hasn't put a foot wrong the whole season.

Agger: Solid performance next to Carra. What a classy defender he is.

Maxi: Not an easy game to play, but he worked hard and did what was needed.

Babel: Kept the Everton defence busy when he came on.

Stevie: Put the team first today and did what was expected. Unlucky with the freekick but put in a perfect corner for the goal.

The win today was about team ethic and if we play with this much heart for the rest of the season it will be hard to take the 4th spot from us.

insua p1ssed me off acutally, nearly gave a goal away near the end and was forever giving away possession. babel is an eternal waste of space and will never change. falling over himself as usual.

gerrard was much improved i thought. showed a bit more leadership and passion. outside of that i wasnt overly amazed by anyone, although i dont want to be negative, happy with the win. were not odds on for 4th but were still in the running. we are at the mercy of other teams results imo.

no one wants to see him fail joe. i believe everyone would be so much happier if he succeeded and led us to the title.

but so far this season he has made mistake after mistake and no one can say it has been wrong to be questioning him. hopefully he'll turn it around now.

the performance wasnt great but we did our job and got 3 points we made everton look poor and left them with 1 clear chance all game a pretty solid performance but i thought we could of gone with more attacking players on the pitch as we were at home also pinnear and fellaini should off been sent off also peple get sent down for kicking people in the head when there on the floor and mash could of had a leg broke but it didnt happen and we win so bragging rights are ours for another season so come on lets turn arsenal over an stake our claim on fourth

17 points the last 7 games, most of them without Torres. We've played Villa and Spurs during those games. We beat Everton (one of our thoughest games every year) today with 10 men for 60 minutes and nobody can say we didn't deserve it. Things are already looking better.

Really happy with the win. The performance was good despite being down to 10 men we looked solid. I have to disagree with kopswede i thought insua was a liability at times . I really dont think he can defend, glad to see Aurelio coming back. Thought Ngog had his best game for us, all our pressure was coming through him holding the ball up so well and bringing others into play. Dont think Maxi did that much wrong when he had the ball , tough match for him to be threw in at the deep end.

Yeah, watching the game too. Hull are looking good!! They played well against Chelsea on Wednesday as well. Nice to see Phil Brown doing well. Sometimes it's good for the team to stand by your manager, even through the hard times.

Damn it, 2-1 now.
