You seem to be baseing your defence of kenny on what he 'might have achieved' though. In that case, we should have kept hodgson, 'just in case' he won us the champions league. Or maybe we should have kept Souness? He's a legend, and according to you clubs should 'never ever' get rid of legends. Maybe we could bring sammy lee back in to the fold as well?
Carroll, henderson and downing have indeed all improved.....they are now worth about £10m combined instead of the £75m that kenny spunked on them. Not good enough by far. Besides, if BR got them to improve then credit must go to him (and allardyce), not Kenny!?
Kenny's second reign was a joke from beginning to end. You talk about Suarez embarassing us but kenny also let the club down based on his spending, team performance, results against poor teams and his car-crash interviews.
I'm not a big BR fan (to say the least) but he's proved to be much better than Kenny (unless you ignore the facts!). KD in his second spell and his first half of the season (the season he took over from RH), finished with the 3rd highest points tally in the league behind United and City, at the end of his 2nd half of the season we were still in the fight of a champions league position and still in the cups, 3rd half of his season, went to 2 cup finals winning one, beating the best teams of the league on the way. He had though one abysmal 3rd half of the season IN THE LEAGUE ONLY. What has BR done better? We've lost less games, scored more goals and accrued more points. He has also got some decent performances out of kenny's sh!t overpirced signings and more than doubled Suarezs league goals. Apart from that though, not much. All what you have said in fact moved us one position higher in the league. Didn't you agree in a thread some months back that progress is measured not in terms of points, but, position? BR also conceded more, out of all competitions in late Feb early March, out of champions league fighting position in October latest. Don't get me wrong, I agree with the majority of criticism aimed at BR - I didn't want him appointed and I don't think he's capable of taking us any higher than 6th, 5th at a push. But I feel much more confident with him in charge than kenny dalglish. In an ideal, we'd be discussing someone else because neither manager is anywhere near good enough for us.

United were 16th after there first game, now they're 1st.

What does outplayed mean exactly, higher possession? Last season we hit the post and missed penalties far more than any team in the league, we dominated Arsenal at home to lose to 2 great goals from RVP, does these count as out playing our opponents?

An eight game ban last year and 10 games this season,we shouldn't be paying him wages while he is banned. I think that they only have the power to fine him 2 weeks wages. Fines these days are a waste of time to players and clubs. Inter have been fined because some racist name calling by their fans..............£36000!!! Why bother?
