No one is condoning Suarez's actions but the FA have decided to make an example and scapegoat of him and it's disgusting. The lack of equity and consistency is staggering - it really is the Fergie Association isn't it? The FA succumbed to the public lynch mob outcry and handed out a sentence that far exceeds direct precedents (Defoe played for England the week after his bite) and belittles the far worse actions of many other players who got smaller bans.
The real disappointment is that we can't appeal it - or the public outcry will double. FSG want this off the back pages of the papers and will just let it go. I think it is an outrage! Absolutely right. Although what Suarez done was not worthy of a Liverpool shirt, the F.A needs to show some consistency, along with sport pundits. I saw sky sports news yesterday and they were going on about how they never seen something like that before, they seem to forget a certain Jermain Defoe who did the same action, but with a lighter ban. I wonder what will the F.A's answer be, if we question why Defoe got a lighter ban.

It won't be long before Ferguson starts getting involved, and make United look like angels.

Defoe was booked in the game so no further action could be take . It's basically saying make sure the ref sees you and books you and you can do what the [oops] you like.

Very harsh and that's next season stuffed as well. But you have to say after all the evra stuff and the diving controversy it was always on the cards. The Liverpool echo on Monday predicted 10 game ban so was spot on.
So no one can be surprised
This is my attitude as well. We all know FA are inconsistent, missing things where they shouldn't and punishments never matching. However it is just as easy not to bite someone isn't it? It isn't like it was just a dodgy tackle. Just need to get on with it I guess and hope he learns something from this.

the FA are a bunch of c**ts, as has already been expressed. 10 games is too much. they're obviously trying to send a message out to suarez.
before this all happened, it was obvious that the FA are c**ts and they're likely to botch important decisions. from the moment he did it, it looked like a 6+ game ban to me. i kind of expected it to be 8 games.
sure 10 is harsh, but the best alternative i can think of to the ban is if luis could stop acting like such an enormous pr**k and not bite people. that way we wouldn't have to be talking about this stuff in the first place
i'd just like to add, ivanovic has come of this looking very well. there's been very little mention of that. his behaviour since has been admirable and kudos to him for it. if suarez had bitten me, i would have punched his f**king lights out.

Completely agree with this. Suarez can consider himself on a 'final warning' if you will to sort out these silly things he does at times. And Ivanovic has done himself proud on the back of it; hasn't moaned to media (yet), didn't react in a bad way and didn't attempt to press charges.

I thought 5 games ban would have been fair, 3 for violent conduct and 2 to make an example, but then he got 7 in the Dutch league and the FA doesn't like him.
