OP Chris2402 1st Team Squad C Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 7,291	I've been thinking this for a while but I may get shot down for saying this but I honestly don't think Lucas is good enough and I see him as a major weak link in midfield... He literally plays in between Agger and Carra and contributes nothing with his passing. He has never been good enough but because genuine quality in terms of Mascherano and Alonso left he had to play but after how many years how is he still first choice? I know we have no real competition for that place in the team but the fact he's signed a new long-term contract really worries me if LFC see him as a major part of our re-building... He'll probably score a blinder in the 2nd half now, if he ever leaves our own half!

Watched him when KD was looking at him on a Freebie back last season. The man is a beast! He has the look of a Yaya Toure about his game. Strong runner with and without the ball. Good skill for 'big man' and is a genuine lung burster! Get him asap! Would ask for him for Andy C part-ex. Nick 10m and Diame and that would be a great deal for us!
