After watching the memorial today i just had to give Mr Kenwright and Everton football club a mention. i was touched by the show of support for the families today by him,Everton and david Moyes. He spoke lovely words of support today and for me it showed that the people of the city and its two main clubs can come together in times like this i know they have always shown support but today seemed to show a special bond.He said if ever us lot wanted to come over to their place to remember the 96 together then we will always be welcome and the doors would be left open. That made me think seriously about ground share, its not easy for me to say but if we can all show support to each other as they have over Hillsborough then maybe, just maybe we should consider ground share.Am i just saying this because of the emotion of today or do i/you really feel its possible on an emotional level? I know its practical financially and all that but emotions have to come into it for me,could we give up our very own ground? Anyway well done to Mr Kenwright.

Putting Hillsborough and any emotion aside, we'd be fools not to do everything we can to bring about a ground share.

Apparently Liverpool won't even entertain the idea of discussing a ground share with Everton or Liverpool City Council as the board believe that Liverpool are capable of funding a stadium of their own. If this is the case, where is our new stadium?

Never understood the issue regarding ground share, the 2 Milan and Rome teams shared stadiums for ages and the adversity I think is bigger. In Liverpool you have brothers supporting different teams, I even saw LFC and EFC fans sitting next to each other in derby games, something I never saw when the Milan teams played against each other. But, as I am an OOT fan, I agree to be an ignorant on the subject.

Wow lain that's a big step for you Haha, now i did say its hard for me to say it,for me i have an emotional tie that goes back to the family ghosts standing in the ground you see so maybe it shouldn't but the emotional thing going on there is a real pull for me to resist. It some how feels like we would be letting them down, girly and silly i know but its how i feel. The financial side is the real need here but today i felt a bond with evertons supporting side that takes me back to those days of sitting side by in any end of the ground so we could do it again i suppose There....said it

I don't understand, how is it going off topic or are you afraid that your views will take it off topic?

TBh I wanted to say thank you to Mr Kenwright for his and evertons ongoing support in this thread which lead me to also ask the question could we do the ground share not only for financial reasons but also the emotional ones so your ground share points would be valid here Hendo.

I see your point lain....I hate to see old stadia redeveloped and lose their history but if we can keep the soul of the club and city it'd be ok
