She ffucked a lot of people over and I myself have at least 6 massive reasons to hate her. I do recognise she did some good, but that was mostly in international affairs. She won't be missed by me or many I know.

As vish says she won three elections on the trot and in fact never lost an election it was treachery within the tory party.

So the british people must have thought something was going right. I think it speaks volumes about her though that even her own party betrayed her.

Well I'm with Dunk on this one, Thatcher divided and de-industrialed her own country for no good reason, other than appease her own anti working class bias and her party's rich backers, mostly from the financial sector, even Michael Heseltine, a senior tory himself, was forced to disagree publicly with her policies. She single handedly made Germany the undisputed industrial heartland of Europe, I would class that as treasonable! Her treatment of working people, including her attack on the welfare state and the health care system was little short of treason also, not to mention those international criminals she befriended in the name of her country and people.
Anyone who will defend Thatcher and her policies is either or both a very heartless or an ignorant person indeed.

Yes Hendo, they have the right to defend her policies if they want to and I'd defend that right, but I'd still say they're displaying a level of heartlessness an/or ignorance, for so wanting.

In 1979 our industry was a sick joke. They spend £140m refitting British leyland equivalent to £1billion today to build a new fleet of cars that failed to sell with red robbo organising strike after strike

look nothing is black and white with political terms. even gadaffi did a lot for his country. you got a free gaf when you got married for christ sake, and a guaranteed job under the colonel.
tbh i have seen a lot of hatred towards different politicians, but only tyrants deaths are celebrated. fair enough the aul bitch did a job on the unions who were fcking about, but thats nothing compared to the horrors she inflicted on the working class in england and the damage she did in the north of ireland.

Just read the original article in the mail totally misrepresented. After heysel some of the cabinet wanted to close down professional football. I repeat that close down professional football altogether thatcher stopped that. There was also a call for compulsory identity cards for all fans against which she resisted. There was nothing about hillsborough I saw unless its a different article somewhere.
I agree with the article there should have been a minutes silence this is one of our greatest ever states person whoever you think of them up there with Churchill.
