Inspector Danglish would accuse the opposition goal keeper or the goal post or my favourite just unlucky.

What will General Rodgers say that the boys played fantastic, we need a manager that expects to win not one who is happy to lose....

Agree, although we played against a team with 10 man defence today also. Though in particular Johnson, Lucas, Sturridge and Suarez were crap, same goes for Downing. Enrique was decent maybe our best player today imo, but all in all if you look back over our results the majority of the time we win a game or two and look good then immediately lose points in an easier game the next week. As someone said in the shoutbox, this will continue until instead of signing Borini's, Allen's, Sturridge's and so on for 10 - 15 million we sign proper class for 20 - 25 million a piece. And as you said, it is really pathetic if BR comes out today and says "we controlled the game, had a few chances and should have won". NO! What he should say is "we were p!ss poor today, had all the ball but no penetration in the final third what so ever, we were a bit afraid of getting hurt also by the big west ham defenders". Think recently Lucas has gone back to the way he was before he came good, his tackling is poor and he contributes very little the past couple of weeks, that said he saved our asses with a goal line clearance today, same for Sturridge said weeks ago he's not the player we think he is, he is very good and very useful but he's not "class", looks awkward on the ball too but has pace and he wouldnt be me main worry. Suarez poor too today but all round i think it was just yet ANOTHER bad day at the office for all concerned. Wont be in Europe now next season either which is absolutely shocking for Liverpool FC.

Today, I put most of the blame on Rodgers.
He should have seen that W Ham were mopping up in front of the goal but he persisted with the tactic of playing it in front of the goal where there was a diamond of W ham players around Suarez. The only time Liverpool looked dangerous was when Carragher or Agger took the ball across the corners of the box. It is true that Collins had a great game and Suarez a poor one but other than Johnson no one had a 'bad game'. Lucas had a great game as did Agger Carrager was alright. Enrique was reasonable. Couthinio was pretty good. Henderson same as usual so why couldnt they do it? It is not the same as Under Dalglish where they were assault ing the goal and unlucky. They didnt get near the goal often enough, other than some skill by suarez.

He did put on assaidi who is more of a winger but that was pretty late on and a player who has been out of favour is unlikely to produce much.

Rodgers out done by Thicky Allerdyce. Very disappointing

Well think about it , what does lucas during the average game, he breaks up attacks. He wont be useful in a match like that where the other team parks the bus. He can't do much he is not a visionary passer In that game, Liverpool often had 80 percent of possession. Lucas makes a mistake and its noticeable. How many breaks did west ham have in that game hardly any.. That says to me he had a very good game. He has given away freekicks lately but he's a clever player he does it up the right end of the pitch usually when he knows Liverpool risk letting a goal in on a quick break.

Downing was rubbish, Henderson was same as usual, these two are signs of how Liverpool have no spending power, bizarre when you consider they cost too much, but Liverpool will have to make do with them. Henderson is Worth keeping but Downing? Sometimes I think he needs medical help or something.

Apart from that the rest were alright Suarez out of sorts and johnson probably smoking herbs last night never seen someone with such lack of concentration.

We are so dependent on suarez if he is not understanding we just draw at best, it will be the end of us when he leaves. He carries the team full stop. The only partner in crime he has is Stevie G, new players like Courtino come in with a rediculous amount of responsibility due to the sheer crap of average players around them, woe is us!!!!!!!!

And what Fact would Rafa come up with? Probably we should have obtained a penalty, Fact.

Obviously the hardest thing to understand is why Sturridge didn't start in a game at home to West Ham. A midfield containing Lucas, Downing, and Henderson who between them average one goal every 20 matches needs counteracting by two strikers. Tottenham and Everton drew today so missing out on three points was absolutely criminal - not that we deserve to finish ahead of either club this season.

Also why did we have a bench containing two centre backs? I know we are not overly endowed with riches but Coates, come on... he will never make it at this level.

Todays game was a microcosm of Liverpool FC since the early 1990s. We consistently underachieve in one match and every season.
