Last summer we where jumping up and down at the fact our targets where heading to other clubs for more money.

We refused to pay over the odds, and I think that decision has turned out to have been the right one.

Dempsey, siggy and Ramirez have all turned out to be very average this season- yes they would have been worth a punt on the cheap- but not at a high cost.

So what do you think, upon reflection, to the way we handled ourselves last season in the market?

if selling players with international experience and replacing half of them with kids from the Academy every year is there plan then no i dont think thats right.

How many teams in the history of the EPL have been able to bring in 3 ir 4 players from youth every year? Errr None.. It's not possible.

Dempsey, Siggy etc havent set the world on fire but we have no plan B. Ayre's left early in every window so again. NO I'm not happy with it. Any of it.

Hmmm, we signed Allen instead of Sigurdsson, for twice the money and he's not as good so I'd say we didn't do well in the transfer market at all last year.

Would anyone rather have allen & borini than dempsey and sigurdsson + £10m? I'm not sure why ramires has been mentioned - he was just one of dozens of players linked with a number of clubs.

Last summer's transfer window was a complete flop, there was no bloody need for us to spend the bigger share of our available funds to sign a central midfield player, the priority was not there. Our priority was a striker and we ended up with one less (AC is better than nothing especially as we just loaned him out). I don't know who was responsible and I can only hope that this happened because the manager was new and was trying to understand his needs. I cannot imagine that this window can be worse, unless of course we are fighting administration.

Yes man just yes. I was thinking the same thing myself and I'm just glad there is a positive thread up for once. Everybody always jumps to critise BR but nobody ever takes the opportunity to praise him. I am actually chuffed at how well he's done in his first season. If you ask a neutral fan they will tell you that we had the best January window think about that sturridge and Coutinho are looking class and so is the team. Ok we have been inconsistent, but we've been inconsistent for 23 years ffs! Plus BR has actually got us slightly more consistent. Under Dalglish it was win one lose one BR has got that up to win 2 lose 1 and he has even manger win 3 lose 1 at times recently. That's progress! I'm happy.

Are you aware that we have only 3 points more than last year after the same number of games? As you know, last year we were also still in the FA cup after having won the league cup. At this very point in time I see minimal progress if any, I really hope this changes at the end of the season because I do not wish another change of manager and the re-building starting all over again.

What I wrote is just my opinion which I believe is true. That's just how I see it, feel free to see it differently if you like but your wasting your time trying to argue about it with me because I just can't be arsed.
